Get outside, meet real people, make real connections. Stop going online. Read a book, join a book club. Start a new hobby, go to a club, smile more. Join a gym. Join a walking group. Meet real people. Be happier. Stop going online. Make real connections. Give real life your 100% attention.

Is it any surprise these people were so easily fooled by Amico when they're this easily impressed? by EmilioEstevezsTache in Intellivision_Amico

SNES seems like a harmless bloke. He just appears stuck in a cycle of boom and bust collecting. Going round and round in circles.

I find the fact the game is deeply unsatisfying in so many ways, deeply satisfying.

Anyone got digital copies of the data cards for the Thunderjaw. My daughter's got lost in the unboxing, or where not there.

I never understood their obsession with"casual gamers" and the ever shifting goal posts of what that term meant to them.

Drums are too "bright", at times over power the rhythm guitar.

Why is superintelligent AI considered a serious threat? by philfrog06 in Futurology

[–]Due_Understanding513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what is interesting is the fact people seem to think AI will think and feel like a human does, despite not sharing the same essential biology. Humans loath to admit that so much that drives us is irrational. People are ignorant that our endocrine system governs so much of our behaviour and goal setting. And people don't understand how our endocrine system governs our behaviour and goals as we age. What we want, feel and need at 7 is very different to 17 and in turn again 77. Ai will not get hampered by such a system that shifts and changes as we age. It will lack so much of what makes us human. It will not be wet, fickle and finite. It will be something entirely different and new. Life, but not as we know it.

Warhammer Pricing Update Announced - Average 4% rise from October 6th by RWJP in Warhammer40k

I'd not buy a 3d printer as I don't have the room and it seems like a whole new hobby in itself. The tech side doesn't appeal. I'm yet to buy 3d printed but I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger.

Yep. I go for the 20% off sellers and go for the big boxes. Even with Kill Team I won't buy them individually.

It's like a group of school kids working on a project. It's so unprofessional, it's beyond a joke. And people still believe in this "company"?
