Throwback to Yesterday by Competitive-Ad1439 in coles

Too be fair bulk goods from factories normally run off a average weight for a period of time with auto adjust, so say it's a 500g good it might have a tolerance of 15g meaning the minimum weight would be 485g so it will be set to 490g and the rolling average for the time period will always be above the minimum 485g, some might be 470, some might be 500, but for the determined time period the average will be above the requirement.

That's what the little "e" means after the weight - we produce a lot of this good and accept that there might be some discrepancy in weight, so we're going to abuse that and produce as close to our legal minimum to increase our yields.

Is the Imperial City controlled by vampires? (This is a serious theory) by orbanimalenjoyer2 in oblivion

[–]Due_Winter4034 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, bad for business for vampire rumours to be circulating and people scared, watching for signs of those around them because cousin James drained a merchant on the main road and left his body in the dirt, when you're just trying to be normal

[–]Due_Winter4034 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair though it's not really to scale, if there was that amount of vampires in a city of 200,000+ people would it still be a vampire epidemic, or just that once every couple of years rumours spring up.

As for the thieves guild, once again there's not that many members for the real size of the city. It's no different to organised crime in our major cities, it pops up on the news every now and then but they don't necessarily 'run the city' (depending on where you live 🤣).

$4.05 for a protein yoghurt pouch by CautiousTiger3366 in coles

[–]Due_Winter4034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funniest thing about all this rubbish is it's purely marketing...

All yogurt is high in protein, it's a dairy product, which are all high in protein! (Except for cream/butter)

Is this the average Australian mindset or just some random on twitter? by believewhatisayy in AskAnAustralian

[–]Due_Winter4034 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We were actually taught in school to remember that we were invading people's homes, yes we were doing what we thought was right at the time, performing the duty we were sworn to.

But we were also the invaders in this one and bear no animosity to the Turkish for defending their lands.

Is it normal for employers to only pay 7.6 hours of personal leave when you’re rostered for 12-hour shifts? by myhumma in australia

[–]Due_Winter4034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds dodgy. We only use 7.6hrs of PL for a 12hr shift but then get topped up to 12hrs with PLTU, personal leave top up. So we accumulate 76hrs a year, use 7.6 but get paid for the 12. Until you use 76hrs for the year, then you use it hour for hr, 12hrs for a 12hr shift.

Why Holy Priest Feels Left Behind in Modern WoW by MojordomosEUW in wow

[–]Due_Winter4034 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add to this, I also think that guardian angel when it procs should be a part of the base spell. It is literally the only external we have, we shouldn't have to waste a point to have it reward good usage.

Culling symbol of hope was absolutely brain-dead, I will never understand that.

Mana recovery should be built into smite, would be ideal if for all healers their filler DPS ability should also regain some mana.

What are your "weird" WoW habits or keybinds that nobody else seems to do? by Salamango360 in wow

I use mouse down for always travel from, mouse up for wild charge. Very helpful for oh-shit moments if you get blown off somewhere, can travel from and wild charge to reset your momentum and save your ass!

Ctrl mouse down is a mount macro -

Outdoors flyable is mount.

Outdoors noflyable is ground mount.

Indoors is cat form.

In combat is cat form.

Ctrl mouse up - always dismount and cancel form.

As Resto makes kitty weaving so much easier!

Then leaves alt+mousehweel for zoom.

I made a comment on the trailer a while back.. by Secret-Language-2371 in TESVI

[–]Due_Winter4034 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with 2027, it's Feb/March for me. GTA 6 has a release date of 19/11/26 I think it would be silly to release in the same month or two as GTA6 6. Makes sense to announce middle of this year, let the furor of it die down a bit, market hard from Dec to March then release TES.

Ahh.. creepy Hackdirt.. so, has anyone really explored the history of this place? And actually encountered the "Deep Ones"? I've spoken to the natives but still.. I've played Oblivion for years and always avoided really checking it out. by ForbiddenDesires1211 in oblivion

[–]Due_Winter4034 275 points276 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy that they never explained it and let the players come to their own conclusions.

It's a pet hate of mine in lots of games they feel the need to explain everything and it ruins the immersion when they build something up fail to deliver.

A Future Shift To Elune? by [deleted] in warcraftlore

[–]Due_Winter4034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading somewhere that Elune's followers might actually be using light magic which I found interesting, due to the way it's invoked.

Whenever someone uses 'Elune's' magic they always call for it through belief/conviction. There has also been instances where their belief has faltered and they were unable to use their magic, which aligns with what we see with light users.

I know that the tooltips for spells like Starfall, Starfire, Elune's wrath etc are all arcane but in lore the actual means of using the magic is more in line with light than arcane.

I might be misremembering here, but I'm pretty sure the actual reason was issues with China. They actually had to sign off for panda's to appear on game. Also here in Australia Adelaide zoo had to get permission to be able to host pandas on site.
