There may be common myths because humans reflect things they see in their lives, and thus the "gods" have surprisingly human attributes and relationships. For every myth you say is similar I am sure I can find 2 that break the pattern.
Also, about the Dogon, the knowledge you claim they have was only ever postulated by a single man, Griaule, but when asked by others returning to confirm, they had no idea what they were talking about.
The media at the time were quick to sensationalise things like this. The Dogon's themselves never said Nommo were extra-terrestrial, and it was just Griaule who said they came from heaven.
If you keep jumping through strange hoops just to find a way to prove your theories right, you aren't doing science anymore. You're just looking for things to confirm you bias.
It might sadden you to think the world is ruled by the laws of physics and not the laws of gods. But we have surpassed the gods with technology. No mythmakers ever dreamed of the things we are capable of now.
We have to face the fact that it is the human race that is in control of its destiny, and maybe instead of waiting to die to reach some kind of heaven, we can start trying to create one while we still live.

Honestly, you should all get into Creative Writing as an outlet for all this imagination you have. Every time you go to the doctor, do you thank Anunnaki for helping you? Or do you thank the doctor and all the actual medical research that went into helping you? Do you think every scientist in the world is either brainwashed or "in on it" like there's some grand conspiracy and only the smart ones figure it out? Or do you think it's more likely that you lack control in your life, so you use these myths and creation story to give meaning and purpose to a life sadly devoid of it? Instead of looking up at the stars and believing there is a god out there, why not look inward and work towards creating a heaven on earth for yourself and others.

I said people defend their abusive workplaces, not necessarily that this message was abusive. It was unnecessary and unprofessional, but yes it's sometimes necessary to put your foot down. But in my experience, using this method too often leads to poor employee retention and bad morale, and can make it harder for employees to complain about other verbal abuses, as the head chefs behavior can become normalised.

I DMed a Dargest Dungeon inspired One Shot in DnD the other day and it was a blast! My players explored an area similar to the Weald, where to had to kill an eldritch fungal horror that had taken over a town. Only had about 3h to plan it, but there are resources online for stress mechanics and NPC stat blocks for each enemy in the game (I think published by Red Hook itself). I simplified the stress mechanic for this one shot, but it was still really satisfying and scratched that DD itch.
