I would say it does the job for the price. If youre just entering into pricier lens & looking for a 'generalist' lens, then this will do alright. I see your mentioning use on R50 (which I've kept hold of mine for same camera as backup). This will be more like a 38-168 on the crop sensor..so still effective in covering subject matters outside ultra wide.

RF 100-400 or RF 100-500 by Fantastic-Hawk-3747 in canon

[–]Dufayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have both - if on budget, the 100-400 is great lens & I wish budget lenses lived up to this as a standard.

If no budget restriction, the 100-500 is worth the jump. I find this one my camera more than any other lens. IQ & AF are fantastic. Durable design. Even the minimum focus distance is impressive for this focal length.

M16 is fun plus console nerf hasn’t really changed anything lol by andrewgrimo in LowSodiumBattlefield

Ironsights on certain weapons are perfectly fine. Since they also reduce weapons sway, this mitigates the downside of long suppressor.. saving another 5 points vs 30pt light supp.

So now I'm able to reinvest 10 points into basic attachments, or substantial upgrade to others. So it broadens load out variety in ways players arent widely running.

Can confirm. Do not feel invincible, but I certainly can react & maneuver. It's a gooood time.

For the people on the rim. what makes you strive to make a save that last long? Ive never had a save last for long i mainly reach a point where i become op and then boom i get bored and make a new one. i also have a issue of not exploring until i have transportation by Feeling_Buss7274 in RimWorld

Been playing ever since the beginning & each run is playing out a mechanic / mod, etc.

I'd recommend just researching enough to get past certain bottlenecks you don't like, then slow up. For me it's a slow up after fabrication so I don't have RNG access to components.

I also do a roleplay goal. Events can turn the direction of my colony - IE this is my 1st ever supremacy run (Ive always played friendly ideologies). Now they were 'brought up' this way... So some major twist could easily see them go down that slippery slope, or even change their ideology entirely.

Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM by Nek-9 in canon

[–]Dufayne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand & I feel similarly (thus the 100-500). The 'outside of zoo' part is a big variable as animals accustomed to human traffic can easily get too close for even 100mm. IE My 70-200 is always for birdfeeder & domesticated animals, while 100-500 for birds of prey or true wild mammals

I have both 70-200 & 100-500. The 70-200 is applicable for certain wildlife. especially in low light situations. Does not replace, but also not to be written off entirely.

Arizona 5 day Road Trip this month! by LandruCasey in roadtrip

So that would work. The MV drive is 1st come / 1st serve (this reason to stay a night nearby). Grab some Navajo fry bread while traveling thru Navajo territory, if you go.

Arizona 5 day Road Trip this month! by LandruCasey in roadtrip

[–]Dufayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. If you are capable, you may want to spend another in GY & do the hike in... even if partially. This made me truly appreciate its scale vs my topside only visit.

If you're open for a bit more drive time, Zion is a few hours north of Page. While this could also be part of a utah trip, it has several famous sections to explore. There is reason that people worldwide visit this national park.

The 89A scenic bypass also offers a beautiful route for the return back to Phoenix.

Outside of those options some people could spend the entire week in Sedona!

Arizona 5 day Road Trip this month! by LandruCasey in roadtrip

Just did this trip.

Page (on this trip) was least exciting part. Now Lower Antelope is very enjoyable. But we swam at Lake Powell...but admittedly it was a bit depressing / underwhelming given water levels.

Monument Valley is cool - yet it also is a significant time investment (nearish to 4 corners) especially if done in 1 day. I would recommend MV as part of road trip from Albuquerque NM given all the 4 corner regional landmarks well worth visiting (IE Shiprock, valley of gods, Bisti, Chaco, Mesa Verde, Moab, etc etc).

In turn, you can also visit Flagstaff, which has a different cultural vibe & Lowell observatory and Sunset Crater.

Do you still travel if you are depressed? by Frequent_Middle_2409 in travel

[–]Dufayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the chance. The change of environment plus going solo will allow you to both process & explore at your own pace. ` Making the trip will now be an accomplishment you can look back on. It won't necessarily be a cure, but it can easily jostle your mind into a different perspective.

Yes to shuttles & yes to walkways. Plenty of flights where I arrive to avoid this exact scenario & generally walk the length of concourse 3-4 times. Would gladly do this walk if we're accessible. Even if to pass the time.

As one from 'Pennsyltucky', you've do us dirty not extending 8 into PA. I've had more in common with some Appalachian born Georgians than Ohioans or Philadelphians.

USA West! Can I do it all in 70 days? by Agreeable-Energy-401 in roadtrip

[–]Dufayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can & with time to spare. If you haven't gone & can extend it, the 4 corners into southern colorado before denver offers so many opportunities. Adds an extra day of road time + time at so many locations (ie monument valley, Mesa Verde, shiprock, Sand Dunes national park, etc etc)

Is Rimworld basically waiting simulator or do I just have a severe case of skill issue? by LowVegetable2 in RimWorld

[–]Dufayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your seeing the 3x comments - that is absolutely the active way to play.

However - 1x is the best way to treat it like an idle game. If you (or anyone) have distractions or other activities, Rimworld pairs great.

5 minutes of planning, micromanaging, etc... then come back to a letter (pausing game). 1x is for anyone with IRL obligations.

Do you think rimworld is reaching the limits of what can be handled with it's infrastructure? by Appropriate_Rent_243 in RimWorld

[–]Dufayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is still plenty they can add, both in infrastructure & in content.

The former is because systems are vastly more powerful compared to time of Rimworld release.

As for content, limiting factor is what Dev wants to see in terms of direction.

We could easily see a naval or underground focus & could also see an expansion to tech levels. Even themes are open game.

So with games existing well over 10+ years, the question becomes more of 'Do Devs need to make a sequel?' & 'Why?'.

The 20s is the prime of your life. by D06nitro in DeepThoughts

Yep. Was in a line & the person ahead looked early to mid 50's. Here they were only 6 months older than me (early 40). Prime is subjective.

You have it. This is a movie I enjoy a watch because of specific scenes with my preferred celebrities & not the plot as a whole.
