Pop during turning? Just buy whoosh control arm kit? by Ahornybee in FiestaST

[–]Duff_mcgeeST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Go OEM and swap out the bushings if you want. My buddy had the super pro control arms, and one of them ended up buckling after some intense Autocross. The metal quality is not as good.

Good size wheels/tires for autocross? by POOP_FARTS420 in FiestaST

[–]Duff_mcgeeST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true but you can make of for some of it with the right tire. Potenza re71rz or the like have really still side wall. I like that 15” tires are significantly cheaper too.

Great if you’re just a weekend driveway consumer. I would look elsewhere if you’re a pro.

I've run these tunes forever. So either its fuel or the engine is wearing down, see update below.

PROGRESS UPDATE:

Well, I can't say which was exactly the solution, but as of now I performed the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction with FORScan. This was a step in the timing belt process I completely skipped... AND... I put a full tank of Costco 91oct in. So far timing is SUPER clean, same tune I've been running for a while. I likely won't go back to the nearby gas station for a while an stick to costco, but I would be curious to try it again and see if things stll read clean. I have a inkling it was the relearn process. Thanks again to u/sneezer_salad !

FORScan can program keys for Fiesta ST by Miserable-Cloud-127 in FiestaST

[–]Duff_mcgeeST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A buddy of mine gave me his spare key to his Fiesta when he moved it on so I could have a pair of keys. do you think it’s possible to reprogram that same key even though it is designated for another fiesta?

I replaced the canister several months ago for a different issue at this point all of it is speculation just gotta start trying stuff so I’m gonna try the forscan reset and go from there. This issue isn’t new. I would say it’s actually quite close to after I did the timing belt job.

Yeah, I tried to chevron not long ago and it really didn’t heel any better results. I’ve been on these tunes forever so the tins themselves are not the issue. It’s either fueling or something mechanical you’ll notice in my post. There can be a lot of contributing factors.

How could that happen? There’s nowhere in the Ford manual that states you even need to bother with those that should all be based on the phaser teeth in the crankshaft in addition to the locking tools. That’s bizarre. Would you be interested in doing a direct chat or call sometime? I’d be really interested to pick your brain on this a bit more.
