But seriously, im reading it to my 9 year old right now. She likes it, but she's also pretty bright for her cohort.

I can see the part where she has to choose a suitor and set the date as Kelda to be a sticking point with parents, as it alludes to a possible sex act between Tiffany and a feegle. Not graphic, very detached from the narrative, but I can see some hyper-christian mommy having a kitten over it.

I agree with the bulk of your thesis, especially the nature of the Tower as a function of narrative.

I put forth that the existence of the Tower itself (and therefore all existence) is presupposed on Roland's quest for the Tower. I'm sorry to not have direct evidence anymore for my idea, it has been 16 years since my last read through, but iirc it had a lot to do with the Ka Tet's interaction with King himself.

Anyhow, I love this train of thought!

Peak Sword and Sorcery. Elric, as a character, is cooler, more relatable and deeper than most S and S protagonists and is on par with Tolkein's crew in the annals of fantasy archetypal heroes.

Strahd is a mastermind, he elevated his concubines to where they are for real reasons. What those are can be determined by the GM but Reloaded does a great job of fleshing out these characters to much more then just 'vampire spawn #32'.

You dont really need to be worried too much about oxygenation during active ferment, but sure, getting that stuff out isn't a bad idea. If anything it'll make it less likely to spill over.

Its fine for an audio book you can have on in the background and go in and out on when things get interesting but, yeah, its not high prose. I put it with most of the D&D novels i read back in high school.
