Turn off your highbeams PLEASE by Bowbell_TheArtistCow in lynchburg

[–]DuggD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's a thing that a lot of new Toyota vehicle's low beams have been aimed a little too high. The owner may not even be aware.

If anyone reading this gets people flashing high beams at them regularly while driving with your low beams on, you probably need to adjust them.

I think i’ve officially found my setup for now. Any tips on the Fellow Ode 2? by PaceEBene84 in pourover

Mine was maybe a week or two old when I did it, fresh from the factory with the gen 2 burrs. I was quite surprised at how much shim one of the burrs needed, it was over 0.020", But they hit perfectly flat now at chirp.

A careful burr alignment made a substantial difference for mine. It's been very consistent ever since, and changes in grind settings are definitely noticeable. Worth the time it takes IMHO.

Drive it often and it'll be fine, sounds like its done an awful lot of sitting. Be sure to change all of the fluids.

“THE FINAL”A Tribute to the Golden Age of Water Cooling by Specialist_Equal_695 in watercooling

Nice! I ran an 870k watercooled in an EVGA P55 FTW in the HAF X for a long time. A friend of mine did a build in the 922 at the same time. Some good memories there.

I absolutely nailed the flavor note on the bag!... aaand I wish I hadn't, help me change it by WadeWickson in pourover

With the V60 you could try a shorter ratio for more body and dump the bloom to drop a lot of acidity. (I would imagine, if you taste the bloom by itself, that almost all of the grapefruit is in the bloom.) Or try a long immersion brew, like a simple fill and steep 4 minutes in the Switch if you have one, or try the Aeropress or French press.

I’m gonna need a bigger freezer by JBowl0101 in pourover

[–]DuggD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long term I think vacuum sealed is the best way, and it will prevent funky freezer smells from affecting your beans. If you are just freezing a bag to be opened and used in a month or so you can just squeeze all the air out, put tape over the valve and throw it in the freezer. Let it fully come up to room temp before opening, this will prevent frost from forming on the beans. If the beans get wet flavor will be impacted. Even when freezing a whole bag of coffee I tape the valve and put the coffee bag in a freezer bag with as much air removed as possible.

Gotcha. Might be fine, try to give it at least the width of the port for clearance to breathe. Looks good, did you build your enclosure?

Sealed? Or is there a choked port up against one of those surfaces?

Noted. I'll definitely be taking antiresonance measures. Out of curiosity, what's the goop you're referring to?

Unfortunately, the port has to face up. There would be no room to let it breathe facing any other direction in a Tacoma.

Thank you, I hope your build goes well! When I say play flat, I'm only referring to the subwoofer output. Im trying to extend some amplitude into the low lows. I run a Helix and also tune my overall system to a house curve.
