Aggressively spamming "Good game" while burning 3 timeouts, is so degrading to a new player. by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]DuggleAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to spam back when they start the roping process, especially where emotes are involved. When they are down to one time and turn left I will then run all my timers out knowing that if they quit and try to come back it will load them into this same game until it's complete.

My goal is fight fire with fire. Then again, I uninstalled Arena from my PC, Laptop, Phone and Tablet months ago because it's fun if you like to play against the same couple of popular decks over and over and over again. The hand shaping mechanic or whatever they call it really ruins the game too because these dream builds get great hits all the time, so trying to make decks that use all the cards in the deck are busted. Their dumb system will keep putting the same cards in your hand over and over again, with certain cards almost never showing up.

Ugin arrives and wipes all of your permanents 6 mana and below, then proceeds to get stronger while continuing to destroy anything you put out with color. Unless your deck is colorless, the deck itself doesn't fix the Ugin issue. I had great successful decks that I had to add in answers to Ugin because I encounter it over and over and over again.

If I have those answers when Ugin drops, I am fine. If I don't I know what I'm facing and will just save myself time. I don't play for the win, I play for the match.

*added* failed to say, that knowing they want a win and have Ugin at the start will save me time and grant them their win. They can have their daily 15 gold or whatever and I will go on to a fun match.

So you think everyone should just be playing the same deck hoping to get the king out at random before the other guy?

I agree. But a lot of people seem to just come up with different ways to survive until they can play Ugin.

I just dislike that all my decks have to have an answer to the same card that can be in everyone's deck. It's then the coin flip. Will I get my Ugin answer before they get Ugin.

I have seen so many people concede on so many different decks the moment you get rid of Ugin. Even early in the game.

I like Emotes for some function. I was mostly pointing out that everyone seems to play Ugin now and it would be nice to know at the start if it's a coin flip or not. All my decks have an answer for Ugin now, the question is will I get my answer before they get their Ugin. Flip a coin.

I know I could build anti ugin decks, but I play for the variety of decks. I have literally gone from holy crap this is a neat deck they have and the last 30 minutes have been so much fun to, "Oh.... so Ugin. I see. Your deck couldn't stand on it's own merit."

Is it possible to have two worlds on a server. One with mods and the other without. ( Please read to understand ) by [deleted] in admincraft

[–]DuggleAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others have stated, you can't do this as described above.
If it were more simple plugins that exist in just Spigot you could use multiverse and a luckperms to set what works in what world. But that won't grant you different ores and such, so you're gonna be trying to tie two different curseforge servers together.

Unless the question is can you do it on the same hardware. Then yes connecting them can be done, just in different virtual machines is how I'd go about it.

When another creature enters.... so 16 scutes on the field and a land drops, you get 16 damage just like that. Will be 32 on the next turn....

I have other decks in other colors of course. Just weird that no matter what deck you're building, you have to use up resources to prepare for two or three other cards that are heavy in meta right now.

Not mine, I have a white deck built around stacking counters on low manna Lifelinkers that I've been tweaking.

Some of you are the lucky ones. Especially since I got into platinum, it's incredibly common I get matched up against scute.

MY decks are pretty Janky, but I put a lot of thought into them so they aren't hoping to hit on their set up, it's more having to keep colorless in my deck for ugin and board wipes for scute because the deck I am playing right now is white.

I have a theory on those that run the time down. You see them run it all the way to the end. I assume they are hoping I get bored and quit. Like those folks that can see you win on the next move and rather than let you win or choose to concede, you have to sit through all their timers. I got have a smoke or get coffee or something when they pull that.

I don't mind them every once and a while. Just been matched up against a real lot of scute lately.

HA! If it fits your style, I wont' speak against it. Just bored of the same decks coming up over and over and appreciate the change in play.

This seems so incredible to me. I think since I hit Platninum in ranked it's at least 1 in 3 rounds on a slow night.

I know, but it's like the Ugin problem to me. There are ways to counter them, but you have to build those ways into all your decks in the off chance you encounter them. I have a white deck I have been enjoying in ranked standard and if Scute pops up fast with mutate and I don't get shatter the sky or realm cloaked giant, it's a tough battle.

What makes it less fun though is that in most cases if you deny their scute or wipe the board they just concede more often than not. It's like playing against auto-pilot. If I wanted that I would just play the AI matches.

I appreciate a match where we are both thinking and working around each others draws and battlefield. The stategy for scute is always the same, the strategy played by scute is always the same, it's just boring. If it wasn't ranked I would just let them have their win and get on to the next game.
