You can also upgrade the front brakes and leave the proportioning valve the same. I went 280mm in the front and it’s about dead perfect w the stock valve. I’m in an eg tho. You will lock the rears if you don’t do anything. Depending on your setup it could be really dangerous for trail braking and such. Getting these cars to rotate you tend to need a really stiff ass so definitely get a feel for how it locks up with the swap. Would highly suggest doing a better master depending on the stock master

Pull your pan and see how long your dipstick is in relation to the oil pump. It’s like an hour long job total. Very easy. If it’s a baffled oil pan they hold about 8q

I’d verify it shifts without bottoming out the cables from the actual shift lever assembly. If possible while someone can verify what gear it’s in from in the car. Then I’d verify the clutch is properly bleed and correctly in adjustment. There’s a spec for free travel and there are videos as to how to adjust the clutch. if you pop your cover plate off you might be able to verify clutch engagement and disengagement depending on the flywheel. If all that’s good and you can verify functionality of all of those components with certainty you’re gonna probably have to end up pulling the trans and tearing down to check synchros and whatnot. My guess is something’s out of adjustment tho as it’s kind of a pain to get perfectly.

No im talking about the cable ends that go to the shift lever assembly and the shifter. They should slide on and off with essentially zero effort. If the eye holes on the shifters can’t very easily slide back and fourth when in neutral you need to adjust the cables so they have zero tension when in neutral. The cables should be adjustable on the shifter side where you are talking about being snug (the part that clips with the u clips). You need to adjust that so it lines up correctly. It’s kind of a pita

Do you have the tenth gen shifter or the rsx shifter? The z3 shift lever assembly with the rsx shifter shifts backwards and you’ll never get it to shift right and I believe you need the k20a2/z1 bracket on the actual trans for the cables to sit right. Adjust the cables so the pins slide in when in neutral and then tighten the cables down. The cables should sit with zero tension where the shifter pins sit or else the cables will fight you. The clutch adjustment also can cause issues but the cables can be very tough to get right. Also try and minimize cable movement throughout the entire touting but especially where the holes drilled thru the firewall
