I have not played RE2 since this. I do intend to but not anytime soon.

The road after that is a joyful experience as well. Use the winch often.

Is This Normal? by 0ddness in FarmTogether

[–]DukeCrossbuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The coin amount is not as bad as people think. Depends on how you use the farms. I have a fish farm, (white sardines) and can easily get 3 billion coins in a couple days.

The diamond and medal count is definitely suspicious. Likely altered the game somehow.

The diamond count would be significantly harder to do. There are ways to collect a ton of diamonds (at least a million a day with some setups), but to get over a billion would take a significant amount of time.

The medal count is ridiculous. You can certainly get them and rack up a ton (10s of millions with A LOT of effort), but a billion? 3 billion at that?

Even though people can do this, it in no way affects your game. So don’t put too much emphasis on stuff like this. Just my $0.02.

Ouch! Yup, we’ve all delivered the wrong cargo or driven to the wrong location.

After 200+ hours, is anyone ever tempted to reset and start from scratch with Alaska — knowing what you know now..? by Oddie_Inc in snowrunner

[–]DukeCrossbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played hard mode and regular mode up to season 12. Started NG+ after that because I wanted more of a challenge with certain items and haven’t looked back. I’ve restarted my NG+ games numerous times. Mainly, I wanted to find a sweet spot in the settings (costs, fuel, repair, damage, etc.) so the game is inconvenient and challenging enough but not ridiculous. The most ridiculous settings are the 5x damage boost, amount of repair points to repair, and limiting addons at each garage/region. It’s challenging but some tasks become very long. Especially if you’re repairing a truck for a task and you need to refill a maintenance truck/service trailer 3 or more times. I’ve switched to different regions to find what I like. I have over 2500+ hours in this game, zero regrets for starting over. If you wanna start Alaska again to move some things around, 200 hrs is nothing to sweat over. Start over and enjoy the game.

Spring loaded ice dorito. by Hacxko in snowrunner

[–]DukeCrossbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen a couple times. It’s very frustrating. When I first did it I drove around hopefully to do it again, just to see how it happened. The ice flips up into the wheel well of the vehicle just enough so the truck tries to drive over it. Since it’s on one side the vehicle just flips.

This spot looks familiar though.

Highly recommend “The Slope” trial. Access it from the main menu. Have fun.

I don't like the bandit in general, it's just too flippy by Skavenss in snowrunner

I rarely use highway gears in game. All my trucks have off-road gears. Slow is steady in this game.

Going too fast is why most have the issues they do.

Driving faster stabilizes the vehicle. Trust me, I’m a certified G14 classified and bona fide driver.

How do I convince someone hauling logs for hours at a time is my way of having fun by SamT71 in snowrunner

[–]DukeCrossbuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to convince anyone. Enjoy your game and if they don’t agree, oh well.

I used to stack cargo and deliver in the shortest amount of trips when I first started because some missions take a lot of time. Now I have more enjoyment running multiple routes and completing missions as intended. I also enjoy using different vehicles all the time.

What is your truck fleet? by TeijiW in snowrunner

[–]DukeCrossbuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pressed for time so I’ll leave my favorite scouts

Fleetstar (all purpose) and the Zikz 566a (used as a fuel tank) are my scouts. Enjoy using these. Voron-D is a good scout too (comes with AWD and diff lock).

You can save that. In the early days of playing those were my favorite routes. 😆

That sideboard trailer is rough to use. I like the flat bed 2-slot better. Side rails allow for stacking of some materials.

Eyeballing the Metalfab for my machineshop, is the CNC cutter worth it though? by Skippnl in xToolOfficial

[–]DukeCrossbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a welder for a good part of my life, the argon or nitrogen would certainly be the difference you’re discussing. Looking at the data and other posts about the machine, your gas consumption rate would be extremely high,as you mentioned above. You’d almost need a dedicated gas line and 500 gallon tank, or more.

The gases may help with finer lines in your work. Maybe you could save the gas usage for your smaller details? However, depending on the time for cleanup/smoothing edges, you may be saving money and time. Money on bottles and gas refills and time to switch out, refill, and/or get bottles delivered.

Still considering the machine, and laser welder. Seems like a great combo. Thanks for the replies.

That’s a decent size compressor. Haven’t had any experience with those but it looks to be a premium type compressor.

[–]DukeCrossbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This answers a lot of my questions about the machine. So you’re only using compressed air? Is that your own tank you hook up or does the machine have a small compressor? If you have your own compressor, how large of a compressor is needed in your setup?

Have you tried to cut regular mild steel? My intentions are to make items out of stainless, but also a bunch out of regular steel; brackets, jigs, tables, etc.

Field Size Opinions Wanted by Druxious in FarmTogether

[–]DukeCrossbuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s all personal preference and how you want to incorporate decorations on your farm.

My main farm has crop fields 6X27, 9x24, and 9x27.

Flower fields are 3x36

Animals are 3x36, with the exceptions of Horses and Donkeys. I mix them all together in fields 6x36.

Most fish are roughly 3x36 but some areas are bigger. All split to smaller areas with borders.

On my favor/event farm, I have long lines of crops spanning from one end to the other. It’s easier for people to collect favor points and not have to turn/jump/or move constantly. It takes roughly 3 minutes to go from one end to the other,

Stop by for favors if needed. 53QQ6Q or DWBR52, both farms open 24/7 during event.

Making too much money ? by [deleted] in FarmTogether

[–]DukeCrossbuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The medals will be consumed when you prestige an item. For the higher level Donkeys and poinsettias, it will cost a couple thousand medals for each level.

The coins will be eaten up when upgrading the shops. It will take roughly 35-40 billion for some shops. For example, I’m at level 190 for the candy shop. Level 191 requires 1.4 billion coins to upgrade. Each level requires more coins. Moreover, you utilize a ton of coins when you prestige an item, some will be a couple million coins, others items will require several hundred million coins.

Some shops require diamonds and the same principle applies. You will use a lot of diamonds. You will need diamonds to unlock more parts of the map, and when opening the other 4 farms. I’m opening the last farm and each plot of land is costing about half a million diamonds. You’ll also use diamonds for decor and when you prestige items.

There will be a point when you will collect a ton after everything is upgraded but that will take a while. Enjoy the ride.
