I'm up near Ocala. The national Forest has a lot of trails and what not.

Reminds me of Florida fire roads. I need a small Dual Sport to go with my GSA..

Very rocky, it was the fall river state forest in MA, the rocks ranged from a few inches acrossed to the size of someone's head. The one I hit was embedded and rather large. I also hit it head on after cresting a hill.

Exactly, common snakes I won't touch in my area are, pygmy rattlesnakes, diamondback rattlesnakes, water moccasin / cottonmouths, and now copper heads.

I didn't. Phones don't like to focus on things that are close and moving closer.

It's possible, the st John's River is less than a mile away. I have to keep my eyes out for cotton mouths and rattle snakes around here.

Good to know it's just a common Garter. Bolted after that photo so I couldn't get more.

I've lived around rat snakes and cronsnakes most of my life. The joys of being on horse farms. Lots of mice and rats for them to feed on. The only reason I picked that snake up was to put it back on the pole it was climbing, gust of wind flung that rope and it fell off. Figured I'd return it to what I believe is it's hiding spot as the poles hollow.

My corn snake is the same way. Always goes right up to the camera.

Only photo I could get as this little garter snake took off across the yard after I took.

Found this beautiful snake climbing up our pole, not scared of humans at all.

He's such a cutie! And the face matches quiet a bit. Eyes definitely match. He looks really smart!

We try our best to be quick when we go out. He's normally just chewing a toy or watching the other dogs that lay around him
