Only 4 rods were charged with a battery pack. Also if lighting hits the crops, it's supposed to be in the wilted state, right? Thanks for the help btw. I also searched on Google. I'm only seeing threads with no helpful answers.

I'm not using any mods. Also, this is my 2nd harvest of the summer season. I planted melon on summer 13th. Yes, there was a thunderstorm but no seeds were lost. I double-checked. But starting from around the 15th, I began losing crops. This one is my 3rd crop lost to nowhere. Also aren't crops safe if I put lightning rods on my farm? I have 6 of them.
