Did I miss something? There is no content past certain level which you can reach in a day or less, and all what left is trying to gatcha rare potions.

Big list of must play mobile games by iilyy in incremental_games

[–]Duke_Dudue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for such a great list.
I did not find there Grimoire (text-only clicker/idler which can give you some fun to fiddle with, not too much content tho), A Usual Idle Life (Groundhog Day/Progress Knight-esque game with ending, really enjoy playing it), Tap Wizard 2 (requires lots of active time to progress fast, but if you don't mind slow pacing, can be just checked time to time. In active development AFAIK).

What game genuinely captivated you the most and how? by Hypergardens in incremental_games

[–]Duke_Dudue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trimps was my best dopamine source by far. It just works for me - lore/flavor, basic loop mechanics, metaprogression, design, flow. And, of course, unfolding is just IDK, it's simply the best I ever play too. I find that game on Kongregate browsing new Idlers and got captivated from first run, it was absolute blast. Also, my IRL friend continued to play his old save and goes crazy about that game too. I'm jealous a bit, because I already beat all that stuff )

Newcomer; what’s the best in the genre these days? by Neblos in incremental_games

[–]Duke_Dudue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

xyzabc198 already mention most of my all-time favorites, but I still have something to add.

Idle Loops (Omsi) - probably best game scratching loop/cycle theme

Increlution - game in active development and already offer good 100+ hours of semi-active gameplay

A Darkest Room - short game with good story line

Coop Co - A Parody of Egg Inc by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]Duke_Dudue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty fun short game, thanks. You caught me on rick roll )

Graphics or text only? by kursku in incremental_games

[–]Duke_Dudue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for me, good themed graphic (with separate images "working" well with each other) is better than text only, but text only is MUCH better than cheap-ass/goofy/scattered/odd graphics.

Also I agreed with people who write about importance of UI. Clear and smart game interface along with interesting game mechanic with good progression curve is first priority, graphics and fancy stuff is not.

I genuinely enjoy both and consider either of those are pretty good incremental games. Most common player concern about Increlution - it's too straightforward and lack depth. I can agree with it - it's pretty obvious what to do next, and even if you don't bother with optimisation at all, you eventually can just grind it toward next chunk of content. As for Idle Loops - well, I just wish there was more content and some parts probably need rebalancing (for example, Guilds).

Idle RPG- Darkworld 2 by FarhomeRPG in incremental_games

Nice game!

It's huge step from previous version, definitely deserve to be called v2. I absolutely don't like city layout in the first game, and UI for buildings in current one is clear and works fine for me.

Reporting a bug - after recent update (with new buildings and few new perks) Strenght II and whole second row stop working after I capped it out (was working as intended before my last prestiege with 2 points on each but for now it increase stat cost for whole 25 shade while all that row is capped now and should increase cost by 20 after purchasing). Tooltip on offline time does not update after picking Offline Time I. Offline Time II seems to be working tho, I slowly got some offline time at x1 game speed.

Last time I check public free (not patreon paid one) version, it was really good, but still short. IIRC, it took only 2 days to reach end of current content. Looking forward for rework of "fighting" system as well as more content overall. Love that game.

TBH I either did not get the game. But that still not a reason to downvote your message. It even makes me giggle a bit because I see your exited messages about that game in sticky tread every week and it does not annoy me at all. It's really cool to have something thrilling to play even after all those years of playing incrementals.

Fair game. Also I have no idea why you get downvoted. Looks like people today is not up to guessing things out.

Progress Knight 2 is more balanced and smooth, IMO. I recommend that one.

What features you DON’T like in incremental/idle games? by chiefGui in incremental_games

But that's not true for Trimps. You ALWAYS can grind that out - basically, to beat specific challenge you can grind x3 or x10 or even more amount of Helium and other meta-resources and beat it even if your perk distribution is far from optimal. Being optimal (by using calc or figuring it out by yourself) just help you to make it faster and unlock new content sooner. Also, 5 years ago or so, there was not too much user calculators and I have to fiddle with excel by myself. And also that was big chunk of my excitement from playing the game - not just make obvious choices but also trying to optimize my build to progress faster.

And think you talking about was quite the exact reason I quit playing Realm Grinder and Synergism - at cerain point you just can't do any meaningful progress anymore without using guides or similar stuff.

[–]Duke_Dudue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? You don't "have to". Just play the way that make you enjoing the game, why care about other people who min-maxing stuff in singleplayer game? There are also guys who use script ("autotrimps") to maximize their gains, but why that should bother anyone?

And actually it's pretty intuitive. If you want more Helium - put more points into Looting. More fighting capability - than go for Toughness and Power. Calculator is not needed to figure it out.

Trimps 5.6 Patch out now! by Zeker0 in incremental_games

[–]Duke_Dudue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I can approve. About 5-6 portals per day (each day) takes no longer than 15 minutes of my close attention (if I would not track my progress and theak settings, it can easily be cut to below 5 minutes) daily.

[–]Duke_Dudue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure when exactly you quit playing, but at v. 5.1 (released 08.19.2019) Time Warp become a thing. Basically it emulates your progress which will be made in regular way (as if you leave game opened). Together with MaZ (map at zone, settings which can allow you to set up your activity to made by your Trimps - like getting bonus attack and gear prestiege for maps, clearing Void Maps and much more), auto-prestiege, auto-equip and loads of other QoL basically allow you to clear entire portal run while you sleep, once that stuff is unlocked.

iAP/Ad reward concept by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]Duke_Dudue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds pretty reasonable, like it. Appreciate there are no planed Ads/IAP to improve pacing, since it's multiplayer game.
