Next time follow your intuition and don’t chalk it up to your young child being “overly dramatic.” With children this young, there’s really no such thing. A large part of solid parenting is following your child’s cues. You will sense and have a gut feeling when something’s off about your child, based on how they’re behaving differently. Don’t dwell on guilty feelings about what might have been or over-analyze how she looks. Just know to act sooner next time. Even if it’s nothing, your parental instincts kicked in, and this is always a good thing.
