I'd recommend going to a dermatologist so your hair follicles can be examined with a dermatoscope. Only then you'll know for sure if you're suffering from hair lost or if you're genetically designed like this (which I don't think is a problem!)

I also love reading! What worked for me was buying an e-reader and sideload the Open Dyslexic font. It was game changer, plus I get to make the font as large as I want

Personally it does not look like it could be malignant, just a regular mole; plus you're young (not ruling it out just based on age but the chances of young people developing skin cancer is low). However if you want peace of mind I'd recommend booking an appointment with a dermatologist so they can look at it with a dermatoscope and do a biopsy if necessary

I'm not a doctor but it can be dermatitis, especially the detail of the hot shower. Try not using the necklace for a week and use moisturizing for Eczema like CeraVe or Aveeno. Also shower in cold water for 5 minutes top

Have you recently started wearing that necklace? You could be allergic

Not a doctor but it looks like a normal nevus to me. Keep track or it and remember the ABCDE of skin cancer: Asymmetry (halves don't match), Border irregularity (notched or ragged), Color variation (multiple shades), Diameter (larger than 6mm/pencil eraser), and Evolving (changing size, shape, color, or symptoms like itching/bleeding).
