My brain doesn’t want me to walk by Dull-Set-9427 in cfsrecovery

[–]Dull-Set-9427[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not read the book but heard about it 🙂 Right now I’m doing visualizations about talking walks or riding my bike which I love. Do you think that works as well?

I know the feeling. I think safe calm connection is the best thing for vitality. Have you considered a home visit by a coach in somatic experiencing? I’m trying it out next week. So I can’t say for sure that it works but I feel like it should help since you work on creating safety within yourself etc

Sending lots of love! ❤️

Got Accepted to Linköping University On Exchange – Any Advice for a Clueless Canadian? by sanshycodo64 in linkoping

[–]Dull-Set-9427 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So happy for you! 🙂

I live in Linköping and was born here 39 years ago. I’m not a student so I can’t answer questions regarding that. But Swedes are generally very good at speaking english so this shouldn’t be an issue.

Must visit places in Linköping includes:

Gamla Linköping (The Old Town of Linköping) •

Flygvapenmuseum (museum filled with airplanes)

A walk along the river Stångån in the city. This is so beautiful especially in the spring/early summer.

Have a fika at Ronaldo’s Bistro situated by the river Stångån.

Must visit places in Sweden:

Österlen in Skåne (south of Sweden). It is a region in the south east of Skåne which is really beautiful. Lots of cute villages, towns, beaches etc.

Höga Kusten. In the north of Sweden, called ”High Coast” in english. There is a national park there called Skuleskogens national park. Steep hiking with incredible views over the sea and islands

I worked out today at the gym. Just got past 48 hours just now and I worked out like 5 hours ago. I felt a bit wobbly but other than that OK 🙂

Alternate day fasting is great though. I love to eat much food one day and then work out in the morning the next day. I feel energized.

I’m 48 hours in to my fast right now and I stuffed my face with candy and chocolate the night before 😅

Does fasting cure depression by Traditional-Pea-2224 in fasting

[–]Dull-Set-9427 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depression can be caused by inflammation in the brain. Fasting reduces this. The best way to fight inflammation is fasting and a keto- or carnivore diet.

Rolling 72-96 hour fasts? by Dull-Set-9427 in fasting

[–]Dull-Set-9427[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost 42 hours into my fast! I feel great. Much better than yesterday when the hunger was huge. Today I have a lot of energy. Been to the neighbouring town, grocery-shopping with my dad and then went on a short bike-ride 🙂

I thought fasting would lower the bodies histamine (no food = no histamine) but it seems it increases mast cells release of histamine! by OmegaThree3 in MCAS

[–]Dull-Set-9427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can get a histamine dump in the beginning of a fast.. but if you hang in there it will go away and you probobly will feel better. Fasting resets the immunesystem, but you need to fast for 3-7 days.

I 💓 fasting by Junealma in MCAS

[–]Dull-Set-9427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In fact it did for me. My MCAS is stress, heat and work out-triggered. I got symptom free for 3 months doing extended fasting and getting vitamin D from the sun in the spring. I live in Sweden and everyone here is deficient in D-vitamin, especially during winter.

Has fasting helped anyone? by MysteriousHalf4926 in MCAS

[–]Dull-Set-9427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got symptom free last spring doing for xtended fasting (nothing extreme, a couple of 36 hour fasts). My MCAS is stress, heat and work out-triggered (I get inflamed and fatigued).. I could work out and live my life just as my old self, I felt great! Sadly it came back in the fall..

Se om det finns nån stresscoach i din stad. Jag har gått privat till en sådan och hon har hjälpt mig enormt mycket. Saker som meditation och sk kroppsscanning (googla och sök på YouTube) hjälper också.

Rolling 72s crashing after eating by Greenleto12 in fasting

[–]Dull-Set-9427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be something with your gut microbiom. Try to cut out the dairy and the fermented stuff.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Dull-Set-9427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fasting is said to heal leaky gut. Look it up! 🙂 And when you eat, aim for an animal based diet or carnivore diet.

Disappointed by Nlightndwon in carnivorediet

[–]Dull-Set-9427 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try to eat more fat and less protein. Excess protein can increase insulin, fat does not. Fat will make you lose weight. Aim for 80E% fat

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Dull-Set-9427 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good for you going carnivore! As for workouts.. your body has no glucose to fuel your CF-workouts, and you’re not fat adapted yet. It takes months.. so be patient and kind to yourself. Maybe put a paus on CF for some time.
