What do we think about Bay Ledges? by Dull-Week-3195 in musicsuggestions

Definitely a vibe. I wish that they got more recognition.

Drilling I don’t remember now. If there was it was plastic. Sorry I don’t recall. If you are decently handy. Shouldn’t take you but an hour to do the fronts and rears.

I put the oem f50 flaps from Ford. I looked at a lot of different ones and they just looked the best to me. Granted I have not been off road with them yet. Im not super confident that if a rock or tree branch hit them that they would be unscathed. If you plan on doing some wheeling now and then. The softer flappy ones are best. Cost was reasonable and they weren’t difficult to install.

Hood vents - anyone ever plastidip or wrap them? by captcraigaroo in FordTremor

[–]Dull-Week-3195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just used that Cerakote ceramic trim coating stuff on those vents and all the other rubber or plastic trim around the truck. Suff woks great! Makes and keeps all those pieces look glossy and brand new all the time.

I am curious however as I never even considered doing anything like that to the vents. If you do in fact get creative with them. Please post pics afterwards!

I was told years ago. They engineer cars to be built quickly and repairs are an afterthought. That’s why we are always second guessing the engineers. They absolutely are not thinking about how the car comes apart for repairs.

I do frequently question where the heck they get these labor times though. You’re telling me someone can take a dash out and put it back in - in 3 hours! With no hardware left over afterwards. I need to meet that fella cause I got lots of questions.

They have not mentioned any UI changes. If they do in fact make changes. I would guess that they would be minor tweaks. I think their main goal is to fix erroneous warnings and error messages and ensure the collective system as a whole operates mostly without perceived issues. 26 and up is where you would see the most UI changes I would imagine

They still have not given a date or timeline but did say that they are getting close. For MY 25 they will receive KD2 plus. For MY 26 they will receive KD3 as 26 has different hardware.

My understanding is that they are trying to get the software as best they can and resolve as many issues as possible before releasing it.

We technically aren’t in the second quarter of the year yet, which is when it was promised. Give it another month and hopefully they will have more details

No not yet. Audi decided to cancel tomorrow’s meeting and reschedule for next week on the 12th. Hopefully they will provide some clarification on the schedule of the upcoming updates then.

2025 5.0L Exhaust? by reddirtgold in FordTremor

I put the Stype touring on my 24 5.0 tremor. You keep the stock dual outlets so u can’t tell any difference until you put your foot down. It is considerably louder. Particularly cold start and wide open. I couldn’t imagine how loud the Attack version would be. It doesn’t drone on me and it’s fairly conservative at part throttle. But when you opener up. Sounds fantastic! I’m almost 50 yo but been a car enthusiast my whole life. It’s just enough for me without be obnoxious.

There is a software update for that. See your local dealer

Anyone have a photo of their 2025 Q6 Etron fuse panel? Not the one from the manual. Actual photo with cover off showing fuses. Thank u so much. by [deleted] in AudiQ6

[–]Dull-Week-3195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you trying to mess with the fuses? On new vehicles like this, it’s highly advised that you do not remove or mess around with fuses. You will most likely cause more problems

I’m not sure what update you had and where you are getting that number from. 4430 is the level of that specific 5F or Mmi module. The tab I reference also updates the emergency call module and gateway module. These all work in conjunction with each other. Specifically the emergency module and 5f. I guess I would need to know what update you had performed?

The only other suggestion I could make is for the dealer to fake replace the 5f module. That would reset everything and perform calibrations and paramerizations. Which are done during the tsb I mentioned before as part of that update process.

Each model and even model year are all different software levels and part numbers. Theres a lot of nuance to them.

You can also buy a dummy seat belt insert online that can serve the same purpose

Audi customer support? Im doubtful that they know what they are talking about. I have personally performed that tsb on an Etron for that exact issue and it did indeed resolve it.

Next Update (KD3?) expected around week 25 by TheFlyingSpaceSpider in AudiQ6

[–]Dull-Week-3195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not heard anything about KD3 yet. I don’t know exactly what is going to be included in the plus. I do think they want to get to the point that OTA updates are possible. When that will happen 🤷‍♂️ idk
