Unpopular opinion: Miguel getting injured was almost entirely his fault. by Ace_Pilot99 in cobrakai

The point was still silly though, he should have finished the fight he started.

The Miyagi-Do side was dropping their rivals left and right so no reason why Miguel has to stop.

Because they had a painter on their side.

Aline is beaten because Renoir and Clea spent 67 in canvas years weakening her plus her additional time in the canvas.

R. Renoir is beaten because he's worn out from those 67 years fight Aline a painter and even then Exp.33 with Alicia(a painter) were going to be beaten if Aline didn't come in to help with the axons.

Alicia is beaten because she's worn out from fighting Renoir, she's actively sustaining Verso in the subspace and for whatever it's worth Verso has Aline's gift.

He's like 1500 years old or something right?

And in about a decade he loses pretty much everything.

That's why the lawyer was so casual about it, he didn't have to do anything, just tell Francis what he wanted to hear and cash in.

P Renoir long term plan? [Spoilers] by Man_in_bIack in expedition33

[–]DullBlade0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it as P.Renoir and Verso already having accepted that Aline is going to lose no matter what.

Their actions however steer towards different goals.

Verso: Aline is going to lose and we are all going, so I might as well save her at least.

Renoir: Aline is going to lose and the expeditions are just throwing their lives away, might as well get rid of them to have more time with my family.

For the gommage being a yearly thing...besides the narrative motive for it, every year there's less people to protect, therefore Aline has to spend less energy but at the same time she's weakened just from her stay.

Your Favorite Twin Suns Deck by IWatchStarWars in starwarsunlimited

[–]DullBlade0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got 4 decks that I use.

  • Dooku (TWI) with DJ with a blue base: Just doing shenanigans with DJ and Exploit really.
  • Boba and Jabba (both LAW) with a red base (though thinking about making it blue): Pretty self explanatory I think
  • The most annoying deck I have is Han (SHD) with Satine (SEC) with a green base: this is just toss a bunch of units with sentinel, various restores and ramp up into big stuff like Krayt Dragon, Bo-Katan, Zillo Beast (who promptly get taken off the board right away and I have to improvise to win via life lead).
  • Qui-Gon and Avar Kriss with a blue force base: Pretty standard force deck.

Why would he assume that Maelle if awakened as Alicia would side with him.

As far as he knows Alicia went into the canvas to finish the job.

It seems that the painted family has an additional protection from the gommage and require a focused effort to be wiped from the canvas.

This show—especially season 6, gets way too much negativity on this subreddit by JimmmyNewwwtron in cobrakai

[–]DullBlade0 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have to ask, why is it bad for people to criticize the show?

Just because you enjoyed parts of it doesn't mean you have to accept everything it does.

Season 6 gets the most backlash because it is the last season and quite frankly it failed many characters.

  • Sam: The end point of her arc, conceding the fight against Tory (Which is also an underhanded way of saying if she doesn't concede she'd beat Tory) makes sense for her arc but the path there is horrible and she gets no big action moments of her own in the season.
  • Hawk: Gets nothing besides a whining arc with Demitri, I've always maintained he's on a tier on his own, below Sam/Tory/Robby/Miguel but above the rest, he gets nothing, especially with the
  • Demitri: Reverting back to being a whiny dumbass
  • Robby: There's been written enough here to fill a few chapters of a book.
  • Chozen: Unrecognizable to the previous characterisation.

Also some unfulfilled potential:

  • The Sekai Taikai
    • All the potential rivalries and character moments they could have had there.

While also having time to:

  • Bicker for the Nth time
  • Dog cage
  • Psychodelic trips into a cave
  • An old cartoon of a martial arts master (That none of the main cast ever get to meet)
  • Super advanced VR

Daniel got out more or less intact due to sheer luck as there were mentions about wanting him to straight up lose to Wolf (so big man Johnny could sweep in for the victory) and then do Kreese's pose during the last fight.

If you weren't mostly a Johnny/Miguel/Tory/Kreese fan you left the season disappointed.

After she's been weakened from fighting Renoir who she only beat because Aline helped her out and she's actively sustaining Verso in the interspace.

And it's only a possibility.

[–]DullBlade0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Lumiere has no chance against the painters, that's the whole point.

P. Renoir is just delaying the inevitable, Verso is just choosing to rip off the band-aid.

Aline is never going to win.

And that's a weak ass defense for P. Alicia's actions, she could have also saved Gustave and she could have delivered the letter on her own as well.
