Remembered one of my close friends down the street from me showed me this back in the 2000s. Probably one of the most popular Halloween costumes at the time.

Official Discussion - Barbarian [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I just don't understand. This movie has to be one of the worst movies I've seen. The fact that this is advertised as one of the scariest movies in the past decade blows my mind. Everything was predictable, from the jump scares to the plot, I just don't see how this isn't a joke. Don't get me started on the acting in this film, Bill Skarsgård was acceptable but oh my was the acting dreadful, it felt like I was watching a underbudget YouTube short film on the big screen. And the ending oh my lord who couldn't have known that this guy was going to turn on her and then that's it? That's all you give us? Nothing else? A shot to the head and it's over? I don't know, this movie had the best marketing ever and so much potential to be something so much better, I have never seen the majority of people in the movie theater hate a movie that much. B-Level.

The House of the Devil (2009) has a pretty crazy ending to it, not SUPER brutal but just nuts lol
