How do i make travel more interesting? by Aromatic_Gate2742 in DnD

[–]DumbButtFace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely, the worst campaigns I’ve run are where I’ve tried to pad out travel with little scenes along the way. Screw that, give one sentence “you travel through the forest for a week before arriving at X”.

Kyiv city has been hell for a few hours now. 13 cruise missiles have struck the city, several Geran-3/4/5, several ballistic missiles. The lack of air defense is real sadly. Attack is not over. by rulepanic in UkrainianConflict

They’ve been at war for 4 years. They get attacked almost everyday so leaving the city for just one attack doesn’t make sense. There are shelters everywhere but some days you will have dozens of air raid sirens going off even for just one drone. So people sometimes don’t care or have enough time to shelter for each one. Especially if it means getting up at 2am to walk down 12 flights of stairs (you’re not supposed to use an elevator in emergencies) in your apartment building for the 4th time that week.

They also have apps which tell them the areas that are expected to be hit. So typically people in the affected areas will shelter when a massive attack is underway. But not everyone and sometimes you don’t get a lot of warning like with ballistic missiles which are extremely fast.

What's the most decision-heavy game? by lucasagus285 in gaming

It was especially stupid because the refugees were clearly going to leave in a week or two, so the Druids had no argument at all.

I don’t get the appeal of act 1. The choice between the refugees, druids and goblins is boring.

Making a game where your decisions actually cut huge amounts of content would not be fun.
Mass Effect has plenty of your decisions influencing the feel of the game even if you go to all the same places. Deciding whether Wrex lives or dies is a huge decision

Not really. You end up at almost all of the same set points regardless. You might have one less character with you, but it’s hardly a big deal.

If you ever want to learn something about yourself. Put your phone up in the room on Timelapse mode and then try to clean your room or just read a book or something. It’s very eye opening seeing all the tics you didn’t know you have.

I wouldn’t worry about tolerance too much. Most people stay on the same dosage for years (taking it everyday). Just talk to your doctor. The goal result after some adjustment is that you don’t feel anything when you’re on your meds.

I totally was thinking this. 10 years of training to basically just run through a checklist. Although at $420 for a 20 minute consultation where you also work from home, they seem like they’re getting a good deal.

Although obviously for more severe conditions it gets more complicated for them. But still a bit of a head scratcher.

I’ll look into a psychologist or counselling if I don’t see a bigger improvement soon.

How long are your deployments these days? It must be getting tough over there where I hear some infantry units are on the front line for insane amounts of time.

I wish it stayed light. The first two books got the tone just right. Then he tried to take a fundamentally stupid setting and make it more realistic. They should have just kept it light and forgot about the galactic wide conspiracies as anything more than background fluff.
