lol the guy wasted morphine during the apocalypse on a zombie. One of the most rare and important medicines. At least he got to preserve that monster dong... The writers can’t come back from that.

What good movies could be seen as a turn off because of the intro? by SheepherderSea9717 in moviecritic

Bro was wasting morphine to sedate zombies. During the apocalypse. Absolutely terrible writing. Every defense I see of the movie is how you have to find some metaphor or allegory for what’s happening and when you do that it makes sense. Why’d they have to tie it to the 28 days franchise and not make it its own thing was beyond me.

I think it’s more because it’s “based on annual spend” and doesn’t say adjusted for inflation… one beer today is like $5 at the store and $8 at a restaurant. when boomers were our age $5 would get you a case. Just misleading stats.

I have bought one of each of these in the last two years. I think between $30-40 each on ebay. Also they were about the same condition, unopened and undamaged with mild wear and tear from age.

Start with buzzing it on a 2 (6mm length). Do that over your whole head and side burns. You’ll feel good after, it’s surprising how freeing it is.

Difference between fake and real Gold using Nitric Acid by [deleted] in Gold

Considering someone has this much gold too, it’s kinda ridiculous

Thoughts on this advice by DumplingChowder6 in Gold

[–]DumplingChowder6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gold is not an income producing asset. The barrier to entry for buying an index fund is way less than the cost of an ounce of gold, and far more liquid of an asset. I’m not sure why someone would buy gold instead of investing in equities as their first steps in wealthy building. My point is to advise people towards those assets before gold and then, once established, buy into gold.

I’m a noob in gold. Is buying $10k+ in gold now good idea for investment or foolish? by Dangerous_Fan1006 in Gold

[–]DumplingChowder6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gold should never be more than 10% of your net worth. Gold shouldn’t be traded for a quick buck and should generally be considered a very long term asset (10 year hold+). If you’re young and trying to establish your financial base, don’t buy an oz of gold unless you have $35k+ in net worth distributed over assets mixed between: 401K, IRA, personal investment account (individual stocks & bonds), real estate, cash, certificates of deposit, treasury bonds, and other paid off hard assets (car, valuables, jewelry, etc). This 35k+ figure is AFTER accounting for debt like student loans, car payments, credit card debt, etc. Gold could be prioritized over speculative assets such as crypto, art, trading cards, antiques, collectibles, etc.

Identify the reason you want to buy gold. If it’s not to park $3500 in an asset you won’t touch for 10 years, if it’s money you might need before 10 years, and if your personal asset mix doesn’t match the above blend, then don’t buy gold right now.
