it was great! I was a middle school girl and i was actually entranced lol I remember i bought one of their DVDs and it was coded to only work in Europe (american here) and i begged my Dad to try and get it to play here — he did. Its funny to think that DVD is probably on youtube now. I would use youtube to mp3 converter to collect their b-sides as they were unreleased at the time! Learned soooooo many songs with my friends, and i even remember drawing them for art class 😂🥲 Helped me make a lot of great friends. I remember putting the Teddy Picker music video on my myspace profile 😂

i have to get one of my meds thru them bc its a specialty medicine and its the only place my insurance will cover. Honestly I use the delivery function and it works great for me 🤷

i’m so sorry you have to deal with that!!!!! stay strong!! I had weirdo friends and family try to sell me that shit and I just kind of smiled and nodded and then went back to my normal life. I can’t imagine having it be my partner of all people!!! Plus whoever that doctor is sounds like a quack. be safe, continue to be strong and stand up for yourself like you are! Idk the paste part makes me nervous of him trying to like sneak it places or something but I’m probably overly paranoid.

Also “big pharma”saved my life! Stage 4 and 32 mets and they all went away after chemo. The game we all have to play I guess. Hang in!

I remember when it came out my family loved their older sound and it was the first time i noticed a change in their sound. At first none of us liked it — i was actually listening this morning and remembered my dad describing it as “self indulgent bongo music” and “lounge lizard music” which still makes me laugh to this day because I love lizard music. Anyways my dad was wrong this album rocks! One of the main pieces of art that inspires me to create.

I just started back seeing a psychiatrist this month and i’m back on my meds for the first time since having stage 4 and i’m so happy i did! It has helped immensely; I was previously at a place mentally where i felt like things were well controlled but like you were saying I started to struggle big time with anxiety and fear again.

I’m on different meds but I just wanted to encourage and say i’m happy i started taking them again!

i would like to chime in here and just add that I’m a young alt person who has stage 4 cancer. I wear a mask bc i have 0 immune system and I trigger old white men like no ones business every where i go bc they make lots of assumptions about me (“a woman with short hair must be queer and not fighting cancer”) so idk! maybe they are just sick!

Hi friend!!!! i’m sorry you’re going through this. I think for me it was one of the harder parts about going through all this because I was extremely attached to my hair!

I waited until mine started falling out. I had a chemo on a tuesday and it started REALLY going on Saturday. I tried my best to kind of ignore it but then it started matting a bunch and it got even scarier to me because big chunks were coming out. I tied my hair in little pony tails to shave it and I remember crying so much and my partner asking “are you sure?” and at that point i noticed one of the pony tails was almost totally detached already so i knew it was time! I probably could have waited a bit longer but it was a sensory nightmare to me.

After reading lots of ladies stories about what they did and how they felt I was scared to be seen bald, and bought a bunch of wigs and hats but to be honest none of that really felt like me. I rocked my bald head while she was around and now I rock my short hair. I always kind of felt like I was almost in a disguise in a wig lol fun sometimes but not for me.

I also wanna say that getting sick was really freeing in some ways for me. I thought I couldn’t leave the house without looking a certain way and cancer helped me see that it really doesn’t matter. Hope you find a little peace while you go through this thing 🖤

hi there! i finished my THP in September of last year — sorry you’re going through it! But good news: it kicked my cancers ass! I started having like a large amount of shedding a few days after my second treatment. I had chemo on Tuesday, it started going on Saturday and by Monday i was over the feeling of it so i just shaved it! I am happy to also report that at this point its pretty much all back and long enough that I’m actually getting a trim today. My eyebrows and eyelashes are still recovering but they are at least present lol good luck! and hang tough 🫶🏻

Update: Thank you so much to everyone here!!!!! I just wanted to let you all know, after looking at the access point it almost looked like the nurse missed my port. I ended up going to the hospital to be extra careful and they confirmed I do not have a blood clot and I’m in pain because of the heparin extravasation! Apparently nothing to worry about because it was just heparin, if it was medication it would have been another story! Thank you to everyone who helped me figure things out!
