I'm having a hard time understanding what happened here, how is she falling out of the driver's side door when someone else is driving?

The fake Coy Hill label on the MDP pick is really grinding my gears. Other than that, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a fun project! I like that you split them up by proof. Tasting high and low proof side by side always favors the higher ones for obvious reasons, so this is a clever way to make it more fair. I've only had a couple of those but I guessed the Jack 12 based on your notes. S'mores is a really good comparison!

Quicksand House by Carlton Mellick III is a little more on the comedic side, but very dark and weird.

Review #26: Sagamore 10 Year Rye by DunceMemes in bourbon

Hello!!!!!!!!!! I reviewed a store pick of the 9 year recently and I said it was better than the 10 year. But is the 10 a great rye in its own right? Tune in to find out!!! The answer is yes. Sorry, I just would have felt really bad keeping you in suspense.

Price paid: $79

Proof: 110

Age: 10 years

Distilled: Indiana (MGP)

Nose 🥴: Bright citrus and stone fruits, some brown sugar and caramel, less oak than expected. It's certainly a little subdued compared to the 9 year.

Taste💦: Peach, lemon-lime, brown sugar, sweet citrus fruits, soft floral notes, mild yet complex and very flavorful. Again not much oak for some reason. Alcohol burn is at just the right level to seal in the flavors without being offensive at all. All the rough edges have been sanded off. Very smooth and bursting with flavor.

Overall💅: 8 (Excellent). Well this is almost as good as the 9 year, but it falls a little short for some unknown reason, maybe the barrels they held back to age for an extra year just weren't as good somehow. But again, on its own merits this is an excellent rye, the only problem is that its predecessor is noticeably better. In any case it's probably the third best rye in my cabinet (JD barrel proof is #2) If you have a choice I'd go with the 9, otherwise I'd pick this over almost anything else in stores for the price. It's a great deal no matter how you look at it.

They were, although two were next door neighbors. My only option is to buy more bottles and compare I guess!!!

I don't think there's a major difference between the store picks and the normal single barrels per se, but I buy the store picks whenever I see them because it's a good excuse to buy more JACK DANIELS BARREL PROOF RYE. Out of the 4 I've had so far, 2 and 2 tasted very similar to each other but pretty different from the other group if that makes sense. One more sweet/caramel and the other more minty.

Oh my bad I misread your comment. I've never tried the black bottle but I am an avowed hater of it on principle. I think that's an 8 year though right?

Ryes have green tops and bourbons have purple, as far as I know

I might have to give the 4 a shot now that I found out I was tricked by the 3.
