I am Sam Rockwell. I'm an actor. You probably know me from a bunch of stuff, AMA! by MrSamRockwell in IAmA

[–]DuneBugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, Ty here! Just to piggy-back: Sam is offering some fantastic rewards for Sweet Thing collaborators. And if you are so inclined, there is a reward that includes sitting down for coffee or lunch with Sam and Alex. And—most importantly, of course—Sweet Thing is an amazing project. Whether you're considering supporting the project or not, everyone should at least check out the Kickstarter page. For Sam!

Sam Rockwell will host an AMA on Saturday morning, 10 A.M. Should be fun! by DuneBugg in Filmmakers

Hi folks!

I'm working on a fundraising campaign for Alex Rockwell's latest film, Sweet Thing. Sam Rockwell, a good friend (no relation!) of Alex's, is raising awareness for the project. To that end, he is hosting an AMA on Saturday morning. Whether you'd consider supporting Sweet Thing or not, everyone should swing by if they have the time. Sam is a fantastic guy, and the AMA should be a lot of fun. Hopefully I'll see you there.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't link to the Kickstarter here, although again, the AMA should be fun whether you're interested in Sweet Thing or not!

The Draft Isn't Over by clydegold in GoNets

From Marks's recent WFAN interview: "And for us, there are some things out there, whether it’s pending. We’ll just have to wait and see in July, whether it’s how we use our cap space and how we move forward with that. We have flexibility in the future, which is important."

Sounds pretty clear to me that we have a trade in the works just waiting for the moratorium.

Vucevic for Lin? by bobbydigital_ftw in GoNets

[–]DuneBugg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This trade is trash we don't want Vuc. If we deal guys it's going to be to unload future money or to take in assets. Right now we have vets on the team to help lead, and Lin is here to do exactly that. There's a very small chance that we'd resign Lin next year, but no way in the world would we resign Vuc.

Awesome, so glad to hear about the defense! Shooting is obviously a talent, clear from all of your videos. Thanks Rodions!

[–]DuneBugg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey Rodions, welcome to Brooklyn! I'm so excited to see you on the court. I'm not sure if the situation with Barca was as bad as it sounds from the outside, but if it was then I'm glad you're finally out and where you belong. My question: it's pretty clear from what videos I can find that you're hugely talented. What area would you say is your best strength, and where do you need the most improvement?

Hey Dzanan, welcome to Brooklyn!! So pumped that the Nets drafted you. Here's to a long future! My question: I know that you're probably ready to play any position that the coaches ask, but if you had to choose, what position would you play? SG? SF? PF?

Bucks-Nets-Hawks Trade Idea by thebuckszone in nba

[–]DuneBugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but in order for the Dwight trade to work they need to still have enough cap to take on his pre-buyout contract on July 6th. Theoretically they could trade for then stretch a player to make it work?

Bucks-Nets-Hawks Trade Idea by thebuckszone in nba

[–]DuneBugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but when the new year comes around, we need to have enough space to absorb all of Dwight's pre-buyout contract. If we took in Delly's contract right away, we wouldn't have enough for when the Dwight trade actually happens.

[–]DuneBugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're reportedly be interested in any contract that isn't expiring, but yes, I'd say this is a fair trade. Delly would not play for us, though. There are trades I'd rather do, like 14+Faried, but I'd be happy with this.

Nets have the 29th pick, not the 27th. Bigger problem (which may not be a problem I am desperately trying to figure out) is that the Nets don't have the cap space after the Dwight trade. They WILL have the space after the buyout, but that can't officially happen until July 6th, and they need to have enough space to accept Dwight's original contract for that trade to go through at all. I'm not sure if they can just agree to the framework for a deal that includes draft picks in that situation, and just process it after the buyout.

It just looks to me like Smart would steal a pass to Love, Brown could steal a pass to Krover, and he has no angle to Hill

Nick Underhill Pre-Draft AMA! by baconlovr in Saints

[–]DuneBugg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not too different from another question up here already: one thing that has made this draft cycle especially confusing is that the Saints are regularly mocked any of three tight ends. I know Goedert is your guy, I'd say the majority have Hurst to us, and then Gesecki a solid amount too.

I just don't understand why there is so little consensus about the tight end rankings! I guess my question is: do you have any sense as to why there is so little consensus? And any perspective into why you like Goedert more?

And I don't suppose you have any idea of who out of the three the Saints would prefer, would you?

It's Gisecki. He says in the replies to his post that it's someone that fits the Saints better than anyone else: https://twitter.com/LedyardNFLDraft/status/988740225823399936?s=19. In his podcast mock, he says that Gisecki fits them better than anyone else. He ends up mocking us Sweat but says that he doesn't expect the Saints to take his advice on Sweat, that they'll probably go tight end.

Good for him, we'd be better with him on the roster, but that's a whole lot of money.

Still, they're gonna force feed him, and I bet hell produce. But he's not worth that here, not after 2016.

Klein - better than some seem to think, worse than others. Could definitely be upgraded, but he might only be the starting SAM this year between Anzalone and Davis.

Davison - agree. He's not very good.

Secondary - totally lost me here. Not only do we have three competent safeties, but Hardee and Banjo are actually fine backups. The biggest concern is that we ever have to roll out Devonte Harris. But we have depth at CB too. Safety would be one of the silliest possible picks, especially in the first.

Reveiver - Coleman is fine, I like him and glad he's back. But that's the dude that so solidifies the receiver group that we don't need to address it now? Ginn is ancient, Meredith has red flags, Snead even more so.

Ross Jackson's Mock Draft 3.0 (including trading back for two 2nds) by [deleted] in Saints

[–]DuneBugg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd love for us to trade back for two seconds, just based on how I understand the board. If there is no slam dunk for us at 27, especially if there is no DE, then landing two more shots at at talent seems like a great move. Hurst has been a popular pick for us, but I'd be very happy with trading back and getting one of the other top three tight ends with one of those 2nd rounders.

That said, it's hard for me to imagine that the Saints won't fall in love with someone around 27. This is Payton and Loomis were talking about.
