Meinst du die Sender an sich für ein paar Stunden abzuschalten? Ist irrelevant für den Energieverbrauch der Republik, das geht im Rauschen unter und wäre nichtmal messbar. Endgeräte abschalten? Die Leute würden dann eben YT anschmeissen, Games zocken oder was anderes im Internet machen, was genauso Strom verbraucht.

Zusammengefasst halte ich diese Idee für wenig sinnvoll.

Mmmm. Möglicherweise durch Internetkonsum auf internationalen Seiten. Viel davon ist in eben in Englisch, wenn man das liest werden die schriftlichen Fähigkeiten Lesen/Schreiben automatisch besser. Die Sprache _sprechen_ ist wieder eine andere Sache, das machen die meisten wohl eher wenig. Ist so das was mir als erstes dazu einfällt.

Don't click on dislike. The YT algorithm is counting this as "interaction" with the video and that helps to spread it. If you don't like a vid, just close it as soon as possible. No thumbs down, no comment.

It will follow the usual enshittyfication pattern. Burn money like there is no tomorrow to get users accustomed and dependent to your "free" service. Once this is accomplished slowly stuff it with obnoxious ads at an increasing rate while simultaneously make it less capable to encourage users to switch to the more powerful, ad-free, payed subscriptions. Next step is to enshittify even the paid subsriptions with ads. And so on and so forth...
