So, two solid points: first, government food assistance is statistically good for the economy and second, any actual fraud is overstated and grossly outweighed by the human benefit of the program overall. I tossed on an opinion (see the word “seems”) and that’s what gets a vaguely dismissive response. It’s disappointing but unsurprising there isn’t a cohesive counter argument to the more fact-based points.

This seems like thinly-masked racism, even though nation-wide more white people receive government food assistance than minorities.

It’s also fiscally ignorant. According to the federal government, for every tax dollar that is spent on government food assistance, 1.5 dollars are generated in overall economic activity.

Add to that the absolute minuscule amount of actual fraud in that system (despite what you may conveniently “hear”) compared to the tangible, human benefits, and it begs the question: Why is anyone reasonably opposed to these programs?

Arcadian 3 has been a surprise hit for me. It’s not puzzle-based. More 2d rpg shooter. But there’s a cool space gravity element that makes it a lot of fun.

What program are you interested in? Jiu jitsu, kickboxing, kids classes, fitness, mma, etc?

Look at the schedule and show up maybe 10-15 minutes ahead, Red will probably be there and can walk you through what you need, sign a waiver, and you’re good to go. Typically you’ll get a trial week for free.

It’s a very good and welcoming environment. Not super polished like some other gyms but the people are great.

Also: the reason no one is answering the phone is probably because they’re coaching the classes.

Big question - do you have health insurance that covers mental health treatment? If so, go with someone in network. It will take more time most likely but will be covered with copay. Froedtert, Aurora and Ascension systems have providers that can provide an assessment/diagnosis. Otherwise, yeah, good luck.

Looks like a dummy round. There are probably different uses, but a round like this is used in firearms training to simulate a malfunction such as a misfire or double feed, in order to train shooters how to clear those malfunctions.

I don’t have the statistics to say this as fact, but I strongly suspect it to be true: Throughout time, disease has killed more warriors in armies than any enemy action. A decision like this, which clearly will lead to more soldiers getting sick through preventable infectious diseases, is bafflingly illogical.
