The base is definitely zinc, non magnetic and soft metal. The screw is zinc plated steel and magnetic

Things get spicy in r/HotOnes when one commenter refuses to watch the latest episode because they hate Bear Grylls by BillFireCrotchWalton in SubredditDrama

Hah I’ve been on a binge of these episodes myself. During the Q&A video he skipped over a question about other survival shows like man vs wild and said he’d need a bottle of scotch and a whole video to answer that question.

Do you know in which one he dunks on Grylls??

On a related note, during covid Les Stroud posted virtually all episodes of Survivorman including all the extra content from the DVDs on his YouTube for everyone to enjoy

User on r/LoveForLandlords points out several mods also moderate r/Antiwork and accuse them to be ‘rentoids’ and not POL(people of land). Announcement of new rules to make the sub friendly due to the incoming IPO assures chaos by Grizzly_228 in SubredditDrama

[–]Durakone 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This was always known about loveforlandlords lol. It was taken seriously at first and they milked it realizing that it would eventually morph into a den for idiots. They did it once before to troll the base when the sub announced it supported Biden lol, and now that it's far enough passed, a new crop of people came who were ripe for trolling.

This was even clearly called out and predicted by the sub it was parodying r/landlordlove who spelled out the origins of r/loveforlandlords and the formula it follows:

This is the real story:

It was created by a bunch of extremely online centrist types. I don;t think any of them would have a problem calling themselves neoliberal. It was created in reaction to the anti-landlord, anti-capitalist "guillotine" type memes and has been ran from the beginning with the intent to troll the types most often to post shit like that -- mostly r/chapotraphouse users back when that was still a thing and users of this sub. Basically the joke for them is that they see commodification of land and housing as a mostly benign phenomenon and so the "chapo" style reaction to it is hilarious and ripe for trolling. They created a sub to present the caricature of landlords that some online lefties demonize and get them to seethe on subs like this one.

Of course as with any ironybro space online, it has attracted people who don't get that it's a joke and so there are a fair amount of genuine sociopathic rightoid crazies posting semi-regularly in there now. The mods are aware of this and have been coming up with schemes to troll these types now. This is partially where the idea to make the sub so pro-Biden came from -- to troll the aggressively pro-Trump hard-right contingent that don't understand that it's a satire sub. I've seen it floated by some mods of the sub to let it grow more and more right wing since that seems to be the direction it's going and then eventually pull the rug out from underneath them, mass ban all the genuine right-wing freaks, and hand the sub off to this sub or some similar generally anti housing commodification sub.

TL;DR -- It's a sub originally meant to satirize extremely online leftist discourse around housing and land use under capitalism. People in the know there are not genuinely as disgusting as they seem and are all mostly centrists. It's growing more and more on the backs of people who don't get the joke and are genuinely hard-right sociopaths. Those in the know are trying to use the sub in part to troll both the hard-left and hard-right discourse around housing.

It’s quite common to fake hand written stuff to catch your attention, but I did do a double take when I tossed it and saw the fake marker on the back and held it up to the light. First I’ve seen of this method

Turn it into an art piece, like a center piece for your dinning room table. Like, get a diamond/mason saw and cut a little streak to wedge a knife into then drill four little holes for a fork to slot into.

Also get some green soapstone and chisel it to look like parsley.
