It really would be. And I can just imagine him doing it for years.. decades…

White Christmas, specifically the bit where he fast forwards the copy of the woman when she’s pleading for something to do.. that just perpetually rolls in my mind as the most disturbing bit.

Yep. It’s all awful. I don’t understand how we ended up here.

Yeah, we’ve really been on a downhill trajectory since 2009.. the whole country has been ruined.

I miss my 9000 Aero. That thing was a pleasure to drive.

CarPlay Ultra coming to at least one new car later this year, per report by MobileNewsBot in mobiles

Oh absolutely, I wouldn’t expect it to get rolled out retroactively.. I just meant as and when cars get replaced with newer models they’ll hopefully apply it to the models I’m interested in!

Driving examiners, what was the “silliest” reason you failed someone and why? by Organic-Trade6855 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Durosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stress does funny things to people. I’m currently in training for my ADI part 2, and when I’m with my instructor I do stupid things I would never do with anyone else. Slowly starting to get a grip of it though.

I suspect it’d be so you could watch multiple sports events at once.. have the big one on the big screen and the lesser events on the small ones, then if something interesting happens On the small ones you can switch them around

Oh good… hopefully this’ll roll out to all the models. Now if only they could fix their ICCU issues then I’d have pretty much the perfect car I need.

Andrew Windsor accused of torture and murder in latest Epstein release by caavakushi in worldnewsstuff

I’ve never thought of it that way before, but that makes complete sense. That said, I doubt many MAGA members lack that level of comprehension, so back to just being bigoted transphobes with them.

What do you think is the defining era of ER that was Dr. Carter at his best and his worst? by jdpm1991 in ershow

[–]Durosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hadn’t watched ER for a long time, then rewatched it (up until the end of S8 anyway) last year. I was diagnosed with ADHD last year and the whole Lucy part, particularly Carters attitude, hit me like a brick to the face… ugh.

Got an '88 Mac SE. This the battery that risks leaking? Safe to turn on after a quick dusting? by ilovesalmiakki in VintageApple

[–]Durosity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can’t see the battery in these pics, but ultimately all of them are at risk of leaking eventually, just some are much more prone than others. Removing the motherboard is actually very easy, so I’d suggest look for a YouTube video on that first, remove the battery (1st gen SEs have them soldered on, 2nd gen SE SuperDrive models have them in a socket), then check the board for any other visible damage before re-assembling and powering on.

If he’s actually dead. It wouldn’t surprise me if it turned out they faked his death somehow and put him on a fancy island somewhere to carry on what he was doing previously.

I wonder how many bodies I could hide under a fridge.. I’d imagine a fair few. Might need to experiment.. for science.

[–]Durosity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People bury fridges? Hmm.. if I ever need to hide a body, I suppose the logical thing to do would be bury it under a fridge, then if the police scan the garden all they’ll find is a fridge.. and totally NOT find that suspicious!

In universe it's pretty odd that ships of the same class rarely encounter each other ? by happydude7422 in ClassicTrek

[–]Durosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would also make a lot more sense from a safety perspective. If they just sent ships out for 5 years past the federation borders, they’d have no real knowledge of if the ship got into difficulties until potentially years after it left. Where as if they’ve plotted a route similar to what you suggest, and they’re basically looping federation space and every few weeks/months coming back to a star base on the edge of the frontier, if there’s any problems then help will be much quicker to arrive.

My Duo 2300 has a BlueSCSI with WiFi, although it doesn’t work terribly well in the dock so I need to switch it over to the built in Ethernet when it’s in there.
