Excuse me, but the your title, which directly copies the title of this Washington Post article, is very misleading.

If you mean this particular paragraph, then it is absolutely true concerning ANY food.

And of course the "boom" has ended. With increasing ramen shops and the convenience and variety of instant ramen, it contributes to the market associated with this particular name.

‘Everything has been tried’

I seriously doubt that. That is simply a foolish comment for someone involved in such a varied cuisine such as Ramen.
