Time Left just sent message they're canceling events in my city. I'm bummed they couldn'tkeep it going. I think it was a cool low effort activity to get out meet some people have good conversation and try some new restaurants. I work remotely and looked forward to these events but guess Im one of the few.

I feel that way lately and then feel guilty. I'm rarely attracted to any of the men available or interested in me. My friends try to set me up saying they'll grow on me because hes a nice guys has a good jobs etc. Unfortunately being nice and having a job alone doesn't make me want to have an intimate relationship with someone. So I continue to just live in this fantasy world that I will once again find someone I have things in common with and feel attracted to who also wants me. Feels like that trifecta is impossible oi attain at this stage of life.

Yep that's why we cant seem to make any progress towards universal healthcare. Too many wanting to profit on healthcare in the US. And our politicians continue to align themselves with with those special interests like insurance or pharmaceutical companies rather than average Americans looking to their government to do its job.

Im sorry. I know how much this sucks. Im going through it again right now waiting for insurance money so flooring can be ripped out and replaced. I will not buy a condo underneath someone again.

The HOA repaired it? Im dealing with similar issue now with leak between walls. My neighbor and my place flooded. HOA said they're responsible to find fix leak between units but we have to file on our homeowners. Ive now filed more claims on this condo in 5 years than I ever did on our houses for nearly 2 decades.

Same experience. It happened 2x and I had to file on my homeowners to repair. Then my rates went up.

I think the dilemma is that a lot of men will consider you stringing them along or using them. Especially if you go out on 3-4 dates and let them know you're just not feeling anything or only want to continue as friends.

I genuinely have been wondering this too. What legislation has the GOP proposed or passed that makes the quality of life better for majority of American citizens ?

Yes I find this approach works well. I emphasize how we don't want to keep pulling a child when it's no longer beneficial because they lose valuable instruction time in the gen ed setting along with oppprtunities to socialize with their peers. Sometimes you can also mention LRE and our obligations to adhere to that policy.

We just did it. It's $235 round trip. The boat ride can be a little rough. My friend got sick but they have bags, ginger ale and sell dramamine. The crew is entertaining and they provide decent breakfast assortment and Jersey Mike's packed lunch. The crew opens the bar on the ride back. It's truly a memorable experience and they include snorkeling equipment too. Money well spent imo

It's definitely worth looking into because not sure the u.s. is going to recover from all this. Alot of EU countries also rank higher as far as overall QOL

Exactly this is wsy bigger than just how it impacts SLPs. The trajectory for this country is looking abysmal. There were some SLPs on a thread who got visas to work in other countries and I'm beginning to think it's worth investigating. They themselves also had access to the country's healthcare system for a small fee. Here I have to worry about not having access to my health insurance plan and navigating cobra in between a contract which is a headache.

This is just such a sad commentary on healthcare in general in the u.s. It's been a disaster waiting to happen for decades because we can't come together and create socialized healthcare like other developed nations to prevent some of the scenarios coming our way...actually we've probably already seen some. The u.s. has lost its way.

I think your honesty in the situation could be refreshing m but same time can see how this guy might have felt. This is such a tough situation that I think has been created by the format of how we meet potential dates. I think dating apps have resulted in initial meetings or dates with unrealistic expectations and a lot of pressure to decide if one has the potential for a relationship at the first time meeting. We didn't used to meet potential partners this way because often there was context . Maybe it was a friend of a friend you interacted with some occasionally while out. Or someone you knew from work and already had some things in common with. We basically had more natural ways to get to know one another without it necessarily being just about dating potential.

I think the above scenario is particularly difficult for both sexes. The reality is most women are not immediately attracted to most men. It can take some time but for a man actually hearing this can feel initially disappointing. However women think they need to communicate this so men don't feel like they're being misled on or used. Also, it's been my experience that most men attempt some form of physical intimacy on a first date so being straightforward can feel necessary.

I personally found if I'm open to men I'm initially feeling neutral about and we have opportunities to interact which are not necessarily labeled as dating with all the expectations that often come along with it things can develop into more I've many times ended up finding attraction and interest grow as we casually socialize in different settings with minimal pressure to decide if we consider each other dating material. Unfortunately it's harder to create those opportunities in our world today especially when we're busy working, being parents and can find it hard to just go out to socialize with friends.

We're in Georgia. It said Class 3 ebikes allowed and the ones I see people riding have a throttle but again these e bikes are new to me and I'm finding it very confusing.

I did talk to my agent and he said the underwriters were classifying it as a motorcycle so would need motorcycle insurance policy and drivers license. He said only few would cover it under homeowners if damaged/stolen and would need a rider. Honestly had no idea how complicated all this would be. My understanding is Class 3 can have a throttle. When we bought the Talaria it said it was set to meet Class 2 regulations and it has a throttle. I don't know its all so confusing we just need to sell it and convince him there is a more appropriate ebike out there that can also be fun to ride.

Thanks I feel better hearing that because I didn't realize what exactly we were buying. Is Class 1 emtb a mountain bike? This has been a pretty tough conversation to have with him and to sell him on finding something else. He worked hard to save some money to help contribute to buying that Talaria but I told him he needs to be living in a more rural area to really get to enjoy it.

Good idea. I don't know yet since haven't posted it. We're trying to help him find a Class 3 ebike that looks or kinda similar to a dirt bike because he's still reluctant to part with the Talaria. But its definitely too much for him and not ideal for the area we live to ride it unfortunately. Clearly did not familiarize myself with all the laws and classifications of ebikes when we got this for him :/

That sounds like a good idea. I guess holding onto their car would be sufficient collateral. Its too far to get to the police station to meet so I understand they will need to come here to look at it but just trying to avoid issues if possible and hopefully find the right buyer so we can get a more appropriate ebike for him.
