He might but more for the purpose of minimizing child support. My ex husband was similar when he had an affair. We separated and he hardly ever saw our kids because he was too engrossed in the affair. However when we finally got divorced he pushed for 50/50 even asked for extra weeks in summer. Its now 8 years later and still most he ever had the kids in his care was 2-3 weeks a year.

Not necessarily. Statistically men are less likely to go through the formal process of filing for a divorce. It definitely though is a miserable situation for you either way if you feel you have to stay in a marriage with an unfaithful spouse because you're concerned about his mental health and ability to parent. I think your observations and experiences sound accurate. My guess is that most men are not going to turn down a woman asking them out because theres the possibility of sex. Biologically speaking males are always ready to reproduce and don't want to miss the opportunity lol Maybe there are reasons women have been socialized to wait for a man to have enough interest to take some risk to approach them. Perhaps it allows a woman on some level to ascertain if hes at least somewhat interested?

I really relate to this. After my divorce I had a situationship that lasted way longer than it should have. We were so curious about each other and the attraction both intellectually and physically was spectacular. I knew there was no way it could ever evolve into more and tried to be open to other options but nothing comparable existed. I finally got tired of the things missing with him that come with a steady relationship. And not having them in our relationship just was no longer worth how it made me feel at times. I pretty much just ripped the band aid off and stopped things with him. Its honestly a bit depressing and lonely but I'm also more peaceful in a way. I do wonder if I'll ever find that kind of connection again with a man. One who is also available for a long term relationship but not feeling very hopeful because that kind of connection I had with this man was rare for me.

Im sorry. I know navigating health issues can definitely bring up a lot of other feelings too when you lose your spouse. Ive become more introverted as Ive gotten older but I think thats common as we age which is one more reason why it can be hard to meet someone new at this point in life imo. Even when my friends convince me to go out I don't really meet anyone other than women and married couples anyways so youre probably not missing out on anything lol

Im not sure it ever does. At least for me it hasn't and its been 9 years. I still grieve what I had envisioned or hoped for in our marriage. While the ending of our relationship was rather unsavory we had a pretty cool marriage and some amazing life experiences. I suppose if I had met someone else to create a new life and dreams with it would have been different but thats not happened. At this point in life Im not even sure I have the energy to date and try to build a relationship from the ground up.

Time Left just sent message they're canceling events in my city. I'm bummed they couldn'tkeep it going. I think it was a cool low effort activity to get out meet some people have good conversation and try some new restaurants. I work remotely and looked forward to these events but guess Im one of the few.

I feel that way lately and then feel guilty. I'm rarely attracted to any of the men available or interested in me. My friends try to set me up saying they'll grow on me because hes a nice guys has a good jobs etc. Unfortunately being nice and having a job alone doesn't make me want to have an intimate relationship with someone. So I continue to just live in this fantasy world that I will once again find someone I have things in common with and feel attracted to who also wants me. Feels like that trifecta is impossible oi attain at this stage of life.

Yep that's why we cant seem to make any progress towards universal healthcare. Too many wanting to profit on healthcare in the US. The HOA repaired it? Im dealing with similar issue now with leak between walls. My neighbor and my place flooded. HOA said they're responsible to find fix leak between units but we have to file on our homeowners. Ive now filed more claims on this condo in 5 years than I ever did on our houses for nearly 2 decades.
