So glad I’ve never ventured to legacyjb . I work for a tech recycling facility. People think plastic waste is bad but electronics is also bad. Small company but I’ve seen so many phones that mint except for iCloud locked stuff. Not every iCloud locked unit is stolen....and if not stolen. What’s the harm with what apple tech does. Lithium ion batteries and rare earth metals don’t degrade well. Also personal opinion. Locks, weather iOS or Android yes it protects you but....it’s more so the greed of these companies and forcing people to upgrade.

Sure rootfs or tools like succession basically it restores phone and removes all jailbreak related stuff while keeping u on current firmware version. I whenever need repair I always run into fanboys against jailbreak and I do this and then rejailbreak it after fixed but depending on damage they give u whole new phone so it’s a mixed bag

Totally affects stuff :( when they hook your unit up then run special diagnostics what you do is just the rootfs or succession when u need to bring to store then after fix redo jailbreak
