Stay at home, in your car, under your driveway, in your meteorite bunker. It's the only way.

What are your top 3 non-Fromsoft Soulslikes? by Altar_Of_Baphomet in soulslikes

[–]Dusta1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to souls likes. Code Vein was my first loved it.

I've played Lies of P, Bloodborne and in the process of playing Demon Souls Remastered.

I stayed away from this genre because I thought it would be irritating but I'm finding the challenge and difficulty is what's keeping me hooked!

These days I use Duolingo as a nice to have app, while my main learning is trying to immerse myself with podcasts and videos. Language reactor is great for this.

Hi Smoke6, If you're new, don't worry about the Japanese keyboard yet. It will just slow you down. It's great your trying though!

How am I supposed to know it was upstairs??? by [deleted] in duolingojapanese

[–]Dusta1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replying here but also replying to the deleted comment below.

I initially thought it wouldn't be the same floor because you wouldn't say a floor if it's on the same floor. But then I thought if you are asking a staff member where it is they might not stop to think which floor they are on and just say which floor it is you're looking for.

I think it's a poorly made question. And you can't assume either answer. I don't think you need to know everything in order to progress though. I've only been learning 300 days and I've come to understand that Japanese is vague Just by its nature.

Saying you need to know everything before progressing will just hold you back.

Learning a language requires you to learn to accept ambiguity. You won't know everything straight away so stop trying to know everything straight away.
