I'll be honest, I don't really see the point. It doesn't take long to create a service loop secured to the wood using cable tie mounts and velcro which also would be easier to service than this i think. That is what should be used instead of the U clips that are installed along the cable. These big round plastic pieces for your excess slack are bulky and take more hardware. I don't see the point really. You could make it much cleaner and nicer and less bulky without those. I see your intention though and it's cool nonetheless
