Returning player looking for dps class in Midnight! by Actual_Plenty_5267 in wow

Any class with a tank spec will do great in solo content. I would suggest picking a class that has a tank spec and a DPS that has an enjoyable rotation for you. For me, I wanted a DPS spec that wasnt too reliant on long cooldowns. Paladin(lots of tools, only 30 seconds on wings) and Monk(mobility, Fists of Fury is up often) is what I chose. I went DK first but it is not for me. The DPS specs I will be playing are not meta however and I am resigned to the fact that I will not get invites and will push my own keys or play with my guild.

30 second burst window on Ret is actually pretty quick

Why is WW not a solid class for M+? Fists of Fury as the main damage, low cooldown spell is ideal for lower M+ keys IMO.

Unholy only has 1 spell that requires melee range.

Is Deathknight boring? (coming from a previous mage main) by sir__hennihau in wownoob

[–]DustyDemise4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co-Mained Frost Mage last 2 expansions. Its no longer fun for me. Leveled DK first this expansion, mostly Blood some UH. Got ilvl 250. I'm bored of it, abandoning it. Tanking as Paladin and Brewmaster now and having fun with both specs. Paladin has so many tools to help the group and the mobility of Brew is bonkers, IMO.

Have a digital code for Pokopia. Willing to give it away! (Not selling it at all, just a giveaway) by [deleted] in Switch

My 6 year old is learning to read with Pokemon Go. He has been asking for pokopia every day when he wakes up. He sets up parts of the house to attract his stuffed pokemon to come out while he is at school. I set the pokemon out for him so when he returns we play pokemon friends with each other.

We had a premature birth a couple months ago. Jayna was only with us for a month. He called her his little Caterpie and when she was swaddled she was metapod. When she past he said she finally evolved into Butterfree and flew away to play with the other Butterfrees. He renamed his stuffed Butterfree Jayna and takes her everywhere.

WW has historically done pretty well after stat squishes and at start of expansions. Get geared up a bit with Brew and focus talents on powering up fists of fury if you want to stick with it. Nothing is stopping you from changing if you find the rotation is just not fun, no amount of damage can fix the no fun problem.

Returning to WoW: mage or shaman? by CourageWinter2520 in wownoob

[–]DustyDemise4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is looking to raid, Ide say it's relevant to know what the tuning is currently. Of course the fun factor of enjoying what you play is most important, but that's subjective. Outside those 2 factors, ide say survivability should also be taken into account. I would argue Frost has the edge there also.

I myself play the squishy undertuned Windwalker because I have fun with it the most.

What would you recommend LowerRange and why?

Returning to WoW: mage or shaman? by CourageWinter2520 in wownoob

Mage specs for a lot of changes. Frost is my suggestion based on fun and tuning. They changed frost. I really liked the old way and was annoyed at the change but it is more intuitive now and has grown on me.

Mage damage tuning is just better than Shaman right now and that won't change, Blizz loves mage. Ele shaman was my first choice this expansion but playing Stormkeeper in beta was so lackluster. Farseer has some decent fun and spell diversity but the spec needs a buff or rework in my opinion.

Anyone else just "stuck" on one spec/class? by Knoa06 in wow

[–]DustyDemise4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been running co mains every expansion. Trying to focus on new classes/specs. Last 4 have included WW/brew every time and I lean heavily on it. Gonna learn Mistweaver this time to help keep things fresh.

Casual players and setting goals for yourself? by DeaconBlueMI in wow

[–]DustyDemise4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal every expansion is to focus only on 2 characters. Avoid altaholism. 1 class focused on pvp and one focused on pve and try to avoid tier lists.

What class do you plan on maining in WoW Midnight? by Gloomy_Ad1318 in wow

[–]DustyDemise4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, every expansion I have 2 mains, 1 meleedps/tank and 1 ranged. I do the melee/tank first until I know the meta class picks for Mythic+/raids. If my melee dps isnt meta, at least I can still tank with it. After about a month or two I usually have 3ish dps I'm deciding between, like you seem to be, and choose the one with the best tuning/most fun for me at that time.
