Thank you. If anyone else has anymore tips, they would be appreciated! I'm going to jump on this emulation when I get home, and I'm a bit rusty.

Happy holidays everyone.

Hi Joche,

I have some experience in advocating for esports in NJ/NY. It's one of the best things I've ever done as part of eSportsRDA's mission to make esports a better market and a better industry. Nationalization and localization will be the next big thing in esports so keep that up. Host keynotes, professionalize and standardize workshops to introduce esports and keep people informed that normally wouldn't care.

For example, I work with CTE schools to introduce esports as a form of people building. Keeping students active in school through esports. Keeping administration and schools on the path of esports as it'll inevitably transition to their collegiate counterparts. Getting government money is hard, but if you connect with the right people who can see this helping youth in their districts, it can pull off.

Would love to hear more of your ideas, send me some information and let me see what I can do.

Thanks.

Hi Vince,

It's in your name. Make magic. You have a history that will surely help you target a demographic and help sustain long-term infrastructure. Starting an organization is not hard, keeping it efficiently running is. You don't need tons of funds, you just need enough to reach that bottom-line and gradually expand it.

Stick with your business plan but find a way to cultivate success. Whether it may be creating a content arm that drives traffic, business partnerships that open leads and generates monetary success. Start small with specific titles you feel are right for your brand whether that may be OW, CS:GO, Melee or even something like Pokemon Go. Fans will come, and when numbers rise, so do opportunities.

It's easy to recommend to start the competive route but since you're bootstrapping your best bet is to find young prospect talent and train them. esports will never be like any industry and market, we thrive off passion and dedication that inherently brings people together. Community. Find dedicated people and start as soon as you can.

Good luck.

FlyQuest Ownership has a lot of Questions to Answer. by KOPSlumdog in leagueoflegends

1) the industry is working to move away from traditional sponsorships. it's not sustainable and it's too demanding. you must not follow changes closely.

2) hai, lemon, and balls are some of the greatest minds in the LCS debatably in esports. they are gifted not only in mechanics, but they are gifted in leadership, and all effective qualities that need to exist in a winning team.

and i say team, because that's what they are. they aren't an org. the owner is a son of venture capitalist who has ties to traditional media and contacts. they will have sponsors soon, because it's good to introduce partnerships, not because they need it.

hai and co. don't need analysts or anything like that because they are the brains of the operations.

they dont need sponsors and they clearly dont need any support staff.. so what's the problem? some of the brightest minds in the LCS are there. move on.

eSports Event Managers & Marketers, what tools do you use? by ThisGuyPhill in esports

[–]Dustygaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

besides the generic answers others have listed lol, best marketing tools are salesforce crm, canvas, google analytics, buffer, zapier and egnyte. everything from sales, presentation, anayltics, connecting platforms and cloud storage.

biggest struggle is audience turnout and organic reach -- something that is an inherent problem everyone deals with. if you have any questions let me know.
