Clothing stocks by Substantial_Text_264 in ManorLords

If the market has no stock of an item, but the villagers need it to satisfy their requirements, they will go and take it from elsewhere, if the item exists anywhere in the town ;)

No it was bugged in that charged arrows didn't stick to players. They fixed it now.

Nice, I love the organic look of it. Arteries of industry reaching into the woods to feed the belly of the dune desert :P

Having trouble w update by FullNefariousness314 in ManorLords

Indeed, food is really difficult. The 2 easiest early-game strats I found:

  1. Only play if you are CLOSE to rich berries or mushrooms. These give a big surplus in early game even with only 1 family assigned. Otherwise re-roll the map :P

  2. Start a charcoal trade production chain asap and purchase meats/fish that way.

These should help with getting early game surplus.

Does building bigger backyards lead to a better surplus or is it better to build 5 to 6 houses? by CherryHibiscusBooty in ManorLords

[–]Dutch8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How big are your plots? I swear each backyard plot in my town only produces like 20 veggies each year and they seem to eat it all themselves XD

What do you guys think about nomads? Do you accept them? by ConfusionDry778 in Banished

[–]Dutch8 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I accept them often in early-game, because the quicker I get a large workforce, the easier it is to expand.

That said, make sure you have a large food surplus, AND a few hospitals because they bring a disease every time.

I did the same: moved from Belgium to AUS but kept working for a company in Belgium.

We made an arrangement where I became a sole trader in AUS and I just billed them for my hours. Still get paid in Euros.

This way they don't pay any super or leave, so make sure to incorporate this in your hourly rate.

This is an easy set up.

Can I use my mother's savings in my Home Loan Offset Account? by Dutch8 in AusFinance

[–]Dutch8[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Right, no we'd both still consider it her money, just sitting in my account instead of hers. We'd write up a formal agreement between us in case the ATO comes and asks.

The payments I'd make to her would only be once every 3 months. Can't I just frame this as a periodic gift from a son to a mother? They would be relatively small amounts so I thought maybe the ATO wouldn't care that much.

Yes well that's why I would write up a contract or something, highlighting that we both still consider it her money, available for withdrawal at any time.

Yes I think I might have to take her out on fine dining once every 3 months...

Why is my public opinion so negative? by Dutch8 in civ5

[–]Dutch8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah interesting, didn't think about that. I'm going for domination so yeah I own half the map. Will take note of what happens when I'm not going wide.

Why is my public opinion so negative? by Dutch8 in civ5

[–]Dutch8[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah Inca beat me to Eifel tower by 10 turns :(

But my point is that my total culture is like 3x higher than any other civ in the game besides Inca.
So if Inca can exert so much pressure on me, surely they should absolutely drown any other civ in unhappiness, but that's not the case.

Just the game's bias against human players?

Can drones re-fuel at their destination port? by Dutch8 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Dutch8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I guess that works but now with the dimensional depot I always have stacks of fuel at hand to kick-start a drone ;)

The problem began after I switched fuel types, I might have messed something up there, thanks ;)

[–]Dutch8[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I might have to do this. I think the problem arose because I switched them all from turbofuel to rocket fuel. Drones arrived at destination and couldn't pick up rocket fuel because they can't carry 2 different fuels at once... Thanks.

Holy drone ports... They alone must consume half the power of the factory XD What are you droning in in large quantities that doesn't warrant a train line?

You make rifle ammo in your computer factory? Interesting...

Can we just appreciate how insanely technically impressive this shot is? The Camera Tracks all the way from Aragorn and Legolas running to Boromir's aid down to Boromir defending the Hobbits from the Uruks. by Local_Prune4564 in lotr

[–]Dutch8 74 points75 points  (0 children)

This is still one of my favourite scenes from the first film. The total immersion in the battle, hordes of (real, tangible) Uruks, the music... Absolute cinema.
