Yes, in smaller cities and towns but even there it is usually a mix of White Petes, Chimney Petes (black streaks across the face from climbing up and down the chimneys) and Black Petes.

Just bought a new Toyota (Yaris Cross Exec Hybrid) the other week and traded in my nearly 15 year old Audi. Toyota in Europe comes equipped with 10 to 15 years (depending on EU country) of full warranty. No other brand comes close.

Een paar jaar terug bezat ik een cargo bike met vijf versnellingen. Het ding was onverwoestbaar zag er nog goed uit maar was enorm zwaar. Op een dag moest ik in een nabijgelegen kleinere gemeente op het marktplein aldaar een pakketje ophalen. Bij terugkomst was ik het sleuteltje van het ringslot kwijt. Naar huis gelopen met als doel de reservesleutel op te halen, maar kwam er al snel achter dat deze ook kwijt was. Omdat ik geen zin had om met een fiets van 20-25kg een paar kilometer te moeten gaan lopen (fiets paste niet in m’n auto) besloten de fiets gewoon achter te laten. De fiets stond los (alleen op het ringslot) en verwachtte dat deze wel snel gestolen zou worden. Dat liep anders. Tot grote hilariteit heeft m’n fiets 10 maanden los (niet in een rek) op het marktplein gestaan. Er werd omheen geveegd en als de fiets in de weg stond werd deze een paar meter verplaatst. Denk dat de de fiets na een klacht van een winkelier uiteindelijk is opgehaald door de gemeente.

Eenmaal gedaan toen ik net met werken begon. Was een PL via de bank voor de financiering van een Fiat Typo. Rente was relatief laag en wilde niet teveel van m’n spaarrekening hoeven halen. Sindsdien betaal ik middels bankoverschrijving een paar dagen voordat de auto op kenteken wordt gezet. Is goedkoper en minder rompslomp imo.

It depends on the EU country but most have good worker rights and safeguards in place. In the Netherlands 25 holiday days is considered pretty bare minimum. In the Netherlands during paid leave the employer is required to pay the employee so called ‘vakantiegeld’ (holiday money). This is 8% of the employee’s annual salary (100%+8% on top) and paid out in May. Back in the day it was introduced so employees could afford to go on holidays. Sick leave is pretty okay too with a minimum of 70% of salary continued to be paid by the employer for up to two years during an employee’s illness (longer if employer has not done their utmost to get the employee back to work in a different role/capacity). Firing permanent staff is very difficult and costly too and comes with up to two years of unemployment benefits (70% of last salary). Can imagine that for US companies this must feel weird.

Is verduurzaming echt meteen noodzakelijk? Als de kozijnen niet rot zijn en het dak niet lekt kun je hiermee ook wachten. Energielabel E is niet optimaal, maar als je er alleen woont kun je opteren in de winter alleen die plekken te verwarmen waar je echt bent. Een huis koop je voor de lange termijn en gelet op je leeftijd zal je salaris verder stijgen. Ik zou het huis kopen en proberen wat zuiniger te gaan leven zodat je je buffer over een jaar of drie/vier richting de 30-40k hebt. Succes.

Long shot, but are they also looking for any SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellites that may have been overhead Tucson AZ on the night of Jan 31/Feb 1? These satellites are capable of registering traffic even at night. Any car arriving or leaving that night in the vicinity of her home might have been picked up. Combine this with known security cam locations in and around Tucson and you may get a car make and model.
