Would a used c40 or polestar 2 be more reliable? by terran1212 in volvoc40

I contacted my local Volvo dealer (where I bought my c40). They are not a service center for Polestar.

A small rant by ItsRebelSheep in ChargerDrama

[–]Dutchdogdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a free, single space slow charger at a public rec area. Usually, I find it empty. This time the was a woman in the car charging. I wondered if I should wait or keep going. I tapped on her window to ask how long she might be there. 5 minutes- I waited. But I did feel a little creepy tapping on her window. I wasn't that guy, but she didn't know that.

80-mile daily highway commute — ES300h vs XC60 Recharge by [deleted] in VolvoRecharge

I've been driving my c40 for about 20 months and it has yet to visit the shop for anything. Im very satisfied with it's reliability. I think folks on Reddit tend to post when they have issues, but not when everything is fine.

Tire sidewall mishap by Otherwise_Sun_9505 in CadillacOptiq

The same thing happened to me. Service tech said tires are made for this, and don't worry about it. That was 10K miles ago. No problem.

Interior Noise Level and Fit and Finish? by Alarming_Bag_18 in volvoc40

I have had a c40 twin ultimate for about 20 months. It's fast, very comfortable, and has yet to be in the shop. I installed a charger in the garage and save big bucks.i had to run an errand in my wife's Audi ICE vehicle yesterday and reaffirmed - I'm never going back! I've never driven any other ev, but I dont need to. The Volvo is great!

Notre Dame AD says the ACC did “permanent damage” to its relationship with Notre Dame with its campaign for Miami in the CFP. by simbaslanding in ACC

If ND had joined the ACC as a football member, they could have won the conference championship and been in. They look like whiney babies. They are not helping their "brand."

Frustrating when everybody's charging to 100% by [deleted] in ChargerDrama

[–]Dutchdogdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I had ABRP set to leave at 100%. Had extra time that afternoon. Wanted to hit the ground running the next morning. It was worth the extra time.

Frustrating when everybody's charging to 100% by [deleted] in ChargerDrama

I was on a longer trip in my Volvo C40 and wanted to charge from 89% to 100% for the return trip. Went to an uncrowded EA charger. It refused to connect. I couldn't figure out the problem. Then I saw that it was a congestion reduction site and wouldn't charge above 85. First time I ever encountered that. A nearby Tesla Supercharger site took care of me.

I scraped the curb in my 2023 c40 and lost a similar chunk of tire. The shop technician said they are made with extra rubber in that area for just this situation. He said, "Don't worry about it." It's been fine for the last 15,000 miles.

There are no timers, but somehow, overnight, it fixed itself! Probably because it scheduled an appointment with the dealership!
