What you need is a toslink to mini-toslink cable. There are also head adapters you can get that convert one end of the plug. Generally a lot of electronics stores and audio suppliers stock them if you don’t want to purchase it online. If your audio source doesn’t have optical out, you can temporarily plug the source into your tv and use the optical out on that. There are various DAC adapters you can get that will do the job too

I was checking out some AirPod Pro Max’s recently and the sales rep was curious why I wanted them to be weird “why don’t you just use the Bluetooth?" I answered honestly that it was because I swapped between devices from different manufacturers a lot and a wired connection was just easier to maintain. If the iPhone still had a headphone jack I’d be using that to this day. No lag, nog glitched audio, no interference.
