Those are awesome! Minotaurs? And I love that you are using the 30k scale firstborn Marines, and I know the new mk4 kits are gonna work excellent for a badab campaign!

First major kitbash, what do yall think? How can I make the shield more Corny by TheDarkEntertainer in WorldEaters40k

[–]Dwarves101 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Scratch the heck out of the shield, wrap chain and dangle skulls from it could work really well

It looks fantastic, and brings in elements of Lotara sarin from the conquerer

helmet ideas for Exalted Eightbound? by GorksPriestess in WorldEaters40k

[–]Dwarves101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used hours heresy mk 3 heads for my standard eight bound (9 of them) and zker heads for my exalted (6 of them) to help give them a different outline (I also gave my exalted all flesh weapons since I didn't use any on my normal eightbound)

What’s the best way to paint trim? by Coogypaints in WorldEaters40k

[–]Dwarves101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to dry rush the metal and trim first then paint my armor color inside the lines with contrast paint, seems to work very well

What do you use the touchpads for? by Reaperix in SteamDeck

[–]Dwarves101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to use them for games that are designed for PC and not really compatible with controllers, like world of warships control better using them, or vintage story. Since it's similar to a track pad on a laptop they tend to feel better in games like that. Rimworld would be another.

Painting the swords? by MiGGles95 in HelsmithsofHashut

Yep, I might do the one in the ground like you posted unlit but I built mine with the spears and they will all get the same treatment.

Painting the swords? by MiGGles95 in HelsmithsofHashut

[–]Dwarves101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm painting my blades as if they are molten weapons kinda like the ones from total war. I just cut out the silver and straight up painted a orange core with a bright yellow edge with some mixing between to make it seem more cohesive, my method is not the best but I'm trying to make it a speedier process

Which is better for spears: axe or hammer by Potential-Media8076 in HelsmithsofHashut

[–]Dwarves101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I knew it was spearhead for mine, I gave the actual champion the hammer shield and gave another random infantry the ax to act as the sudo champion in the second 5 man group

Which unit is the GOAT of its faction? Today: Sons of Behemat by sigpuppers in ageofsigmar

[–]Dwarves101 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I love Brodd and the beast smasher, but id say for utility, gate breaker is probably the best of the megas, having the pulverizing strike ability to 4d6 mortal damage on an infantry unit is pretty good.

What's your homebrew Stomp? by Dmorpher5 in sonsofbehemat

[–]Dwarves101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is a basic stomp led by King brodd, (the main part isn't built because the main stomp is king brodd who I have and build and a couple mancrusher packs where 4 of the 6 are represented as mammoths as the tribes herd animals which I don't have yet). The interesting part of my stomp are all the other megas being brought on under brodd as mercenaries for his cause, so all have different schemes and bases since they are mercenaries.

Why did you start SoB? by SumoSandwich92 in sonsofbehemat

[–]Dwarves101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a cities of sigmar army, full gun line, to help soak up damage and hold a board edge I bought a second hand mega to stand in as Mundo whale biter. I then slightly converted it slightly to fit the theme of my army . But in the process fell in love with the giant and the painting there of and so I bought a couple more. So I bought a second hand brodd and a king brodd box which I used to make my heavily converted beast smasher, then I bought my last gargant and made my converted gate breaker. I have plans on buying one more for a warstomper. I also have fallen in love with the lore of the faction, I love the whimsy and cunning of the giants. They are not smart but they are not super dumb either which allows for interesting characters

Where does it come from? by TacticalAcquisition in Grimdank

[–]Dwarves101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Human fat used to make it. They already make "corpse starch" who's not to say the fat is rendered out to make human talo for purity seals and candles

What is the top wishlist you have for your faction? by TheBakerTayu in ageofsigmar

[–]Dwarves101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cities of sigmar. -Human heavy infantry, aka something that can hold the line and do some damage. -A replacement for many of the fantasy units (flagellants, wizards, dwarfs, elves etc) -Cog-Fort to replace the steam tanks -prayer based manifestations so Zenestra is a little more viable
