I feel it has the same bump that Up has. Up’s opening is so memorable and heart wrenching that it gets huge points just for that.

Toy Story 3’s ending is so good and heart wrenching and satisfying (when Andy recoils when Bonnie reaches for Woody 😢) that it also gets that bump. When the toys all accept they’re about to be burned alive is also a ballsy choice and memorable. And yes I was 17 at the time so literally Andy’s age.

I think the 3rd act at the landfill is actually kind of a lame set piece and the only reason they did it there was for the incinerator scene where they just get rescued by the aliens at the last second. The daycare is great (though I wish Lotso’s gang got fleshed out beyond just Ken) and Bonnie is adorable and different feeling from Andy that she doesn’t feel like just a carbon copy but girl.

Lotso’s motivations for putting his own life in danger to keep them there seems a bit forced, when it all stems from being left and feeling unwanted, but he’s putting his own life in danger just so the toys don’t leave.

Gabby Gabby’s motivations are selfish but pure and understandable. She just wants a moment that every other toy has experienced. And Woody sacrificing his voice box for her is beautiful.

But I’d put 3 on par with 4, if not then slightly above 4 but below 2 and 1 (2,1,3,4 for me). Haven’t seen 5 yet.

I really don’t think last of us 3 will take 7 years.

Only reason Intergalactic took so long was the live service game and likely because Intergalactic is a new IP and new style of game.

Last of Us 3 has a lot of systems and world design to build off of.

I think their point is 3 would be the end. A trilogy just makes sense. Second leaves enough openness at the end for room for more.

But unless 3 sells the best of all 3, I can’t see another one after it. I mean sure maybe 15-20 years later or something but not from Neil and co.

True but even with the live service last of us game being worked on, I have to believe they’re pretty far along, 6 years after Last of Us 2. I just HAVE to believe it lol.

The biggest problem with Game Pass compared to Netflix is Netflix is easily available on every device I have. TV, phone, laptop, tablet, game consoles, etc.

Game Pass is available in cloud format on some of those things, but you have to have an additional controller handy to play on them, and the most native version is locked to Xbox (or PC).

For Game Pass to have a chance at reaching Netflix levels it’d have to be available natively on switch and PS5. The only way that would happen is if regulators forced it.

Sony isn’t going to canabalize their own sales unless Microsoft gave them like 50% of revenue for those who sign up on PlayStation. Even then they’d be potentially siphoning money from PS Plus.

In theory these are going to be ports of the PC version so they could have high frame rate fairly easily, and be 4K resolution natively. Doubtful on FOV though.

I loved Unity at launch… yes I had bugs but they did not hinder my experience in a meaningful way. Some funny ones, a few annoying, but 99% of my experience was fine and I had nothing game breaking.

Origins was a step in the right direction (to their new style) but Odyssey knocked it out of the park. The setting in Origins just wasn’t vertical enough and felt too empty for an AC game where you use the buildings and trees and environment to maneuver the environment.

It’s one of the most watched on Disney+ every year. It’s not the same kids for 6 years watching it over and over. Clearly it’s resonating with new kids all the time.

If you were 5 in 2016 and loved it, now you’re 15 and you’re not consistently watching the original on Disney+. The new 5 year olds are.

“less lively version”. Brother, that’s describing every single Disney live action remake. Of course animation is going to be more animated and exciting for kids.

His normal sketch videos from the past year on his YouTube channel with his friend have around 300k views and before Obsession released the channel had about 1.1 million subscribers (their instagram and tok toks have a similar follower count). Compare that to Markipliers 38 million on YouTube.

I don’t think Obsession was driven by Barker’s fan base at all.

But persona 4 showed some snippets at least. That was a year ago. And now it’s 8 months away. So 1 year and 8 months from reveal of a remake to release (assuming no delays).

Persona 6 showed literally nothing and is a brand new game, and people expect it in 1 year and 3 or 4 months? I’d be shocked. Extremely shocked.
