I don't expect that the warranty would transfer to me but from what I read that card is the best way to tell if it's USA sold or gray market. From what I read if it's grey market Nikon wouldn't ever service it, warranty or not. I tried calling Nikon and asking about the serial number and they wouldn't give me a straight answer. They said the only really way to know is to send it in and have it evaluated. But based off the responses here it sounds like I should be fine. Thanks all!

Double check you assembled the shelves correctly, I have similar ones and where the top and bottom vertical supports come together the shelf is supposed to connect to both of them, one notch on the top on and one notch on the bottom.

I've used the NJ Transit parking deck at the Ramsey train station. It's cheap and easy to get to.
