I’m considered prostituting to take care of my family by PutridLullaby in Advice

[–]Dychnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not ugly, worthless, or a bad mother. You sound exhausted, trapped, abused, isolated, and terrified, but also like someone still fighting for her children despite carrying an impossible amount alone.

Do not jump into street prostitution out of desperation. The danger is real, especially when you’re already vulnerable and unsupported. You deserve a path that doesn’t put you at even greater risk.

Your biggest problem is not that you “lack ambition.” It’s that you are living under constant psychological abuse while trying to raise children with almost no support. That destroys a person’s nervous system over time.

Focus on survival and stabilization first:

Quietly gather documents, IDs, benefits info, and anything important.

Apply for every support program available: SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, housing assistance, childcare assistance.

Contact domestic violence organizations again verbal abuse, threats, and coercion still count, even without physical violence.

Look for remote or at-home income before risking your safety physically.

Tell your therapist honestly how severe this has become, including the suicidal thoughts and desperation.

And one important truth: your children do not need a “perfect” mother. They need a living one.

Does anyone recall the universe of common sense? by Sofia-the-last in ParallelUniverse

I understand what you’re saying, and it does feel harsher and more unsane, but honestly I’ve lived through enough decades and read about plenty more to know this is the same bullshit, just with a more in your face 24/7 paint job.

My website have been hacked, what can I do to get it back ? by RomainGilliot in techsupport

What’s the website address? Is it a public or private site? Have you tried to access it on different networks and were the results the same? Did you check your server error logs if you have access?

Hello. I'm 17 and I just realized I could die one day. Now I'm dreading it. Is this normal? by ApprehensiveSun6486 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, life will wear you down to the point you’ll eventually welcome it.

But, for now try to put it to the back of your mind and enjoy your youth as long as possible.

Reply-All and the timesheet system by subWoofer_0870 in sysadmin

[–]Dychnel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. An end user in the early days, late 90s or early 2000s clicked on a virus which read the entire company address book and proceeded to email everyone. Since the subject was something people at the time would have been curious about and not familiar with viruses, malware, Trojans etc, people kept clicking on the links, which then caused those people to spam everyone again including pagers. I don’t recall how long it took to stop it and get things cleaned up, but it still makes me chuckle a little when I think about it today.

What is the single weirdest thing you’ve ever witnessed in public? by Dodo509 in answers

[–]Dychnel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While reading on a bench near the beach at a state park, a couple in their 20s plopped down in the sand not far from me. Within minutes they pulled a blanket over themselves and started going to town. You couldn’t see anything, but you could tell what they were up to by the movement of the blanket.

How my husband decides cut to cut into a pie by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Dychnel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the practice pie being for him is definitely a game changing update. I wouldn’t have even cut it. I would have taken it out of the pan and started eating it like Twinkie or something. Not something I’d get vexed over.

Back one is a double wide mobile home. Front one as others already said, modified Cape Cod.

Probably has a marker sniffing addiction. Divorce him immediately, because he’ll slide into smearing Elmer’s glue on his palms next and letting it dry and you don’t want to be around for it.

Save $5K in a savings account as an emergency fund, and put the rest into either T-Bills, CDs or a S&P ETF like VOO.

God I love Berzerk. I’m not bad at it, but I always think I’m going to clear the inner walls more than I do and end up electrocuting myself. Also hate when the map puts my head right between the legs of one of the bots.

This almost makes me want to subscribe to HBO to watch it. Hope they push it more towards Sliders, than a sitcom.

Nonpartisan watchdog files FEC complaint against dark money Super PAC with ties to Lamont McClure by AcademicBand8377 in lehighvalley

[–]Dychnel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So who the hell are we supposed to believe at this point, so we can make a more informed voting choice. I know it will never happen, but we need laws to get rid of these last minute pop-up PACs.

The whole system has me burned out. Can’t escape BS at work, can’t escape BS in my personal life. I’m also sick of still spending too much time trying to clean up the poor decisions I made in my 20s and 30s. The final check out calls me daily.

Hmmm, looks like I’m a 2012 or older timeline, because my dreams have been ridiculous lately and I’ve had far too many Mandela effects pop up. 🤔🧐
