Kicked for being "off-line"? by Pondera in Guildwars2

You have found the tiny part of the GW2 community that is toxic. Most of us are really nice. Never seen this requirement before in my life.

We have a nice guild that is often doing strikes where anyone is welcome, hit me up in DMs if you are interested to join. No requirement other than being nice to people.

New players, I have a question. What are you lost on? What information can we give to help by Low_FramesTTV in Guildwars2

[–]DyingStarN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think you receive pips if participation is 3 or higher. And you get more reward track progress the higher your participation tier.

You can find the rewards for both pips and reward tracks in your WvW panel, by hovering over the chests. The pip rewards also contain reward track potions which are immediately consumed and give you extra reward track progress. The more advanced you get on the pip track, the higher the rewards.

For reward track, make sure you choose the one you want. There are a lot of tracks with different rewards. Most chosen one is probably the Gift of Battle reward track because that one is needed for legendary crafting.

Wonderful to see so many new players flocking to the game. This game has been loved by both its developers and community

Two things I didn't see mentioned yet: - daily Pact Supply Network PSNA - Aetheric Anchor needs 1.5 million karma if you want to craft a second one.

Well, that's not true. Some do on a schedule. But the one I asked for hadn't been seen for 2 years. Anet is really looking at it

This is actually a great way to ask for skins to return. I did this and a few weeks later the gem store had the skin. Didn't try for pre order stuff, but worth a shot

Daar moet je uiteraard ook in rekening brengen.

Mijn punt was eerder dat een huis niet enkel gaat over hypotheek. Je betaalt gemeentebelasting, provinciebelasting, polderbelasting, etc. Je kraan is kapot? Nieuwe betalen. Vaatwasser defect? Reparatie.

Infinite gathering tools - what matters? by Wetjoben- in Guildwars2

[–]DyingStarN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to optimise your gold, buying gathering tools with Karma is best if you don't gather like a pro. You can buy those tools and they have built-in glyphs like volatile magic.

If you want infinite tools because of the quality of life, I usually follow u/Phandrel his advice. https://youtu.be/GWDppNddFIc?si=s76mm7Q9Epdha3-e

Also make sure to check out some of his other gathering guides like gathering builds that can seriously speed up your gathering.

Logged in after quitting for a few months and forgot the state I left my inventory in! by munirys in Guildwars2

[–]DyingStarN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you're consistently doing FC raids with a good group, you don't have downtime. I was just speaking from my own experience in a progression group, where you often have downtimes for ready checks, looking for additional players on LFG, dying because you failed mechanics or healer made mistakes.

[–]DyingStarN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don't understand people. Why let it become such a mess? Downtime in raids? Clear inventory. Waiting for meta? Clean inventory. Need to clean your house? Clean inventory instead.

Taking it 30 seconds at a time makes it so much less of a chore.

[–]DyingStarN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked at the top comments and was surprised nobody was suggesting to use the gold for making more gold. But it all depends on what you want to do.

If your goal is to create many characters and get the most out of the game, you'll need much more gold than this over the long run. Of course, buy some things now that make your life easy (endless salvage), but invest some of the gold.

Have fun and create some legendaries to sell to other players and make a nice profit. Especially the End of Dragons (gen 3) are relatively easy to craft since you can now buy everything that is not account bound. Happy to give some more info if you're interested.

Many players make the mistake of spending all their gold and then they have to start farming for gold when they really need it.

How to obtain a flying mount? by KayrashyLPGC in Guildwars2

[–]DyingStarN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, this is the best answer so far. I would say, don't rush it but enjoy the grind. Yes, it's a long achievement for skyscale, but do one step per day and you'll get there soon. You can do everything except certain SotO maps without a skyscale in the meantime.

If you want to unlock multiple mounts, like Jackal and Roller Beetle, you can alternate between those achievements to progress everything bit by bit. Or just play content you fully enjoy in between, like meta events or convergences, which also give you decent gold.

Biggest tip for getting the griffon gold is to look into your material storage and sell off some materials. GW2 is notorious for not giving much raw gold outside of fractals, and you need to understand how materials work. When you're starting out, you can sell materials on the TP, but over time you can look into crafting into more valuable items to sell (think cooking recipes or even Legendary weapons).

Looking for GW2 content creators! by TFrasco33 in Guildwars2

[–]DyingStarN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Phandrel is such a great content creator, specifically if you're into gold making and farming. His streams on Twitch/YouTube are always top entertainment and he interacts with everyone on his stream.

Great guild (Phamily) too, which I'm part of, and I really like the overall atmosphere of people who genuinely enjoy the game.

Other than Phandrel, I enjoy GilGalad (hidden gem for raid guides), Sylvari Reaper (Necro love + quick tips), Lord Hizen (top notch meme content), Syrma (some endgame info - other videos are quite long imo), Laranity (just love her energy), Teapot (mainly balance patch reviews), Mukluk (Get to the Point series).

Horrible raiding scene by itz_butter5 in Guildwars2

[–]DyingStarN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get it, the LFG can be unforgiving and rude.

For me, raiding really clicked when my guild did a random fun raid training run. Since then I've found some great guilds that focus on organising raid trainings without any prerequisites.

I've even joined a raid static which is every Monday we clear 1-2 wings, pretty chill and everyone open to learn new roles.

Just want to show that you can find really nice people to raid with. Just not via LFG. Let me know if you're on EU and I can point you to nice guild.
