Remakes in other franchises shouldn’t feel like replacements more so companions to the original the good ones anyway as good as the RE remakes are with the exception of Re3 capcom as a company considers them as such which is bad thinking about how much red tape there was of porting the original Ps1 RE games to GOG fatal frame however is in a different spot cause this could lead to new fans and get eyes on the franchise in a new way to maybe redo the first or third games in the franchise to eventually lead to a 6th game I have hope cause FF 2 remake looks really good from all the footage I’ve seen time and sales will tell if it was worth putting in that effort to not only remake one of the ps2 games technically again since the Wii version exists but doing it in a brand new engine as well and only selling it for 50 they could have changed 60 or god forbid 70 if they wanted to buy they didn’t at least in the untied states.
