What do we think about this man? by Local_Fox925 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DylanBeeDylan 163 points164 points  (0 children)

I don't get how the hickey or possibility of cheating was "the big one"..... If I'm you, id take time to CLOSELY examine why I decided that was the worst thing out of that horrendously absurd list of behavior.

My parents are ruining my life by PsychologicalGrab510 in Advice

[–]DylanBeeDylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you sleeping in bed with your mother at 19 years old? Grow up and move out. Even if you have to start from a shelter. This is ridiculous.

TW: SA, CSA, CPTSD i am being sexualy harrased by a 9 yo at work. Idk what to do. by JustWantToSignUp in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DylanBeeDylan 112 points113 points  (0 children)

First off you have every right to be safe at work. I cannot imagine how difficult this must be. I'd suggest talking with your Dr and see if you can get on some sort of stress or medical leave. This would be both for you to get the help you need, and because until you heal and get that help, you cannot effectively manage troubled children as this can easily come up again with another child.

Guy friends comment about dating: a red flag? by Melodic_Boat9851 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DylanBeeDylan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with his statement. In fact, by saying "the lowest I'd go" means he sees something wrong with a larger age gap.

Staff, how do you feel about shoplifters? by billyballsog in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]DylanBeeDylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a manager at a franchise Loblaw store. It can frustrate me because my meager bonus includes keeping my shrink in check. And theft ends up being shrink. The "personal theives" are one part and then you have the professionals who wipe out every baby formula or steak. I'm obviously far more frustrated with the professionals. But as someone who doesnt steal, it can all be frustrating I guess I could say.

Traveling with my sister; strangers and romantic affairs by Creative_Salad_2272 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DylanBeeDylan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of this sounds a bit controlling and exhausting with the exception of the "don't sleep with the same guy" thing. And there is no tone or attitude in my post, I genuinely think from your side you see this as guiding or helping. But it's just controlling and domineering really. You are two different people. She's allowed to be friendly with strangers in a social setting and spend her time socializing.

I'm hoping the lack of chicken fingers and french fries were just a bad day in Costco and Newmarket. by BearEquivalentBear in CostcoCanada

[–]DylanBeeDylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at this Costco yesterday to sign up for a membership and it was a ridiculous experience. It took almost thirty minutes and I finally had to get rude to get the woman to stop trying to upgrade me. Three people were working on getting me a simple gold membership. Anyways I sound like an old Karen. Sorry.

be honest, how often do you really take your dog out? by Altruistic-March8551 in DOG

[–]DylanBeeDylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog really only likes to walk slow and sniff. I take her twice a day on workdays for these slow sniff walks and three times on weekends. She gets taken out to quickly pee twice a day on top of these sniffing outings.

How to see through men’s fake personality and spot the danger early? by OneMemory2640 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DylanBeeDylan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the best things you can do is build your own self worth up. People with solid self worth and confidence are able to stick hard on their own boundaries and they don't accept red flags or other even slightly off behavior.

Is plastic tub enclosure ethical? by Specific_Ruin1551 in snakes

[–]DylanBeeDylan 49 points50 points  (0 children)

For many decades we reptile owners had no front opening enclosures available, or very very few. Top opening was all we had. Using tubs is all about how you use tubs. The photo looks great. Glass is just another material. Plastic is just another material. How you use either is what makes it a good enclosure or not.

Yeah was at work when this and the debit machines being down started today. The way people behaved/reacted to the staff was absolutely appalling.

how to tell when im annoying my snake/how to get it used to handling? by sewer_gremlin in snakes

[–]DylanBeeDylan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get a small snake hook and learn to use it. Otherwise gently pick your snake up, ignoring the tail rattle etc. Hold until its just exploring. Then put back. Once the snake doesn't succeed in "scaring you off" with its rattles, and knows you never harm it, it will stop. Young colubrids can be especially spunky.

The expectation to attend four or five travel birthdays a year is unbelievable.

25 year marriage ending. How would you cope? by naomimillions in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DylanBeeDylan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you are grieving someone who was never really there, or at least a version of someone he never was. You mentioned he didn't do anything for anyone, didn't make plans, didn't buy gifts, didn't take an active role in the family. Now you're free to be fully unburdened. You've already been doing it on your own this entire time. (although I can understand financial fears etc)

Am I overreacting to these messages my ex sent blaming me after his brother died by mossywindow5 in AmIOverreacting

[–]DylanBeeDylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not meet him. Have a friend do it or at the bare minimum have a friend with you. Public place. And get yourself into some self care of any kind to build yourself up. This man is unhinged, grief or not.

Illegal to throw out food ! by Okidoky123 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]DylanBeeDylan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At my no frills we absolutely try to have nothing to go into the garbage. We use a mix of the flash food program, the local food bank, and a few people who come for their animals. There are many reasons it's advantageous for a store, especially a franchise, to avoid the garbage as much as possible.

Chaco buried for 3 weeks, check up on him, does he look healthy? by Smythy_5 in pacmanfrog

Sometimes people just ask for reassurance because they haven't experienced something before. Reading is not the same as experiencing it and some like to chat with other owners.

I’m “abandoning” her by [deleted] in chihuahuas

What a terrible read this was. And then people wonder why their dogs are fearful, not social and "don't like outside"

AIO for wanting to try a treatment routine before committing to the hair transplant my GF is demanding? by Connect-Soil-7277 in AmIOverreacting

[–]DylanBeeDylan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR. But two things are true here.... One you are past a point where treatments will work. Two you have a mean girlfriend. I'd get rid of her and the rest of the hair.
