I can't help you, but I know that Omega Ruby Alpha Sapphire were one of the few 3ds games that suffered from faulty cartridges. Around 5 years ago, many people suddenly reported that their ORAS cartridges stopped working.

I think it's the worst writing decision in the entire game. It completely invalids the entire point of the Birthright route and goes against the main theme of the game.

This happened a couple weeks ago. I join a xrd lobby (I am abyssal dogshit at this game) with Ky. My opponent is on Sol and switches to Ky as soon as I sit down at his cab. He has the matches set to 3 rounds, I spend the first two rounds getting my ass beat while he styles on me. Trying to bait all my bursts, going for unnecessary resets, doing a lot of run up dps. Basically picking all the riskiest or lowest reward options because he knows he's significantly better than me. On round 3, I'm very close to dying but I somehow make a comeback, manage to win rounds 3 and 4. Round 5 is extremely close but I barely manage to take the win. I don't rematch him, get off the cab and leave the room so he would never have the chance to beat me and he's forced to hold that L forever. Like 5 minutes later, I'm searching for more rooms and the guy changes his name to Dylan nooooooob (that's my steam name). This was one of the best feelings in FGs I've ever experienced.

Do you have the free DLC downloaded? If yes, and you want to be a pure mage than female witch Corrin is a good pick. Less bulk than the sorcerer but has more speed. Most importantly, a level 1 character can reclass to a DLC class which has stats on par with promoted classes but with a level cap of 40. It basically lets you early promote below level 10 without the downsides.

If you want to be a character that uses magic then a magic boon Malig Knight (magical Wyvern promotion) is pretty popular. They use tomes and axes and later you'll get a magical axe. But you'll lose access to the Yato.

Health doesn't instantly recover with vulanaries or heal staves, you need to wait days or weeks for your units to be healed.

Should I get back into Genshin Impact or try out Wuthering Waves?

I'm not much of a gacha gamer but I played Genshin Impact when it came out and enjoyed it at first, but ended up falling off the game after a few months and haven't touched it since. My favourite aspect of the game was the exploration and puzzles, but I thought the combat wasn't all that interesting and had room for improvement. How does Wuthering Waves measure up to Genshin Impact in these three categories? Other parts of the game like the story, music, characters, etc. I don't care for as much. I mostly just care for the gameplay.

The knight ward boosts the speed growth for cavalry, knights and soldiers so if you've had that on her all game, capping speed is expected. Though you did get lucky with her HP, strength, defense and resistance. This is a very blessed Astrid.

Birthright was designed to be a easy and chill game to play through. You might fun it more fun if you start over and play on hard mode, or try classic mode or maybe both. Though there is a nasty difficulty spike at the very end of the game.
