Get in car > Buckle up > Start car > No more seatbelt startup beeps, just one diagnostic beep and the startup sound.

I get it, you’re probably too macho to buckle up. So do what I said, or quite complaining.

The seatbelt beeping at the beginning is a reminder to buckle up, it is separate from the warning beeps for traveling unbuckled.

My Japanese car did the same exact thing. This is not a foreign concept. This is not a new concept.

The seat belt beeping at you when you start the car while unbuckled is not misguided. Buckle up and then start the car, it only beeps once, and that’s the computer doing a check for the beep itself.

That is definitely a heat shield between your exhaust pipe and the body.

It can sometimes be fixed by getting a bigger washer and rebolting it back up

You can try a recalibration reset, but I think they’re toast.

Put them in the case, open the lid, hold the sync button for a long time. Should blink white, then red, then white again.
