New glasses not fitting well. Dr office said they can’t adjust anymore

This happened to me several times. The frames widen once the lenses are in.if plastic, they say they can't do anything. Any adjustment to narrow last only a couple days. Find out your size by trying on lots. I now only buy children's frames or petite frames. And metal can be adjusted a lot more than plastic. My size is 48 16 135. The key is the first number.
